What is the name of the island the Psijic Villa is on?

    Arteum. If you want to go preview it right now port to arteum, go into the college building. There's a pool of water on the ground when you look at your map, it's actually a portal to the house.

    No it's a small island off Arteum. You can see Arteum from the villa.

    I think there are a couple tables & some candles but other than that no furnishings. You can see it from Artaeum as well, if you look across the water from the portal, that is the Villa. It is HUMONGOUS & I am totally boggling right now. I will be SO BUSY farming mats & patterns to furnish it!

    If I remember correctly one room has three empty summerset book cases that you can't move. Not sure what the current state of these are as I've seen them only on an old video from PTS.
    This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

    Yeah it is nameless, like "few" other isles that were hidden from Nirn with Artaeum as stated in the flavor text. May each player have his own haha

    I had an early theory on this (in the lore subforum) before it was datamined as a house, that it could have been the castle of Potansa / Moridunon which is still missing in ESO, but the position was unlikely anyway

    There's quite a number of smaller islands and archipelagos (according to the uesp) that make up the Summerset Isles, and not all of them have names. If it did have a name, the only ones who'd actually know are the Psijics and the Altmer.

    For real. It's not like we have to use Alinor items, or that Alinor items aren't readily available on the market, or that they've been doing furniture packs for years now. People crying foul over the fact that it's unfurnished and claiming conspiracy when they're selling furniture on the store like they always do need to take a chill pill. I probably won't even want to decorate it with Alinor items to begin with, given the dangerous spikes they put all over everything. That's not the kind of place I would invite 20 hot half-naked Nord guys to stumble drunkenly around for my amusement. Someone could poke an eye out!

    Drat, I just tried this. I believe I am in the college, there is only one water pool visible (in the hexagonal room, south side, steps go down into it), but there is no prompt to enter a house.

    To clarify, I am on an alt that traveled to a friend for the achieve and I have not done any Summerset on any alt yet as I want to work my way through the earlier story first.

    you have to go up stairs from the entrance and go outside.

    Enter the college, take your first right, and go up the stairs to the portal. I think the place is fantastic and am happy to get it. Only wish we could access the inside of those (or just one!) of those towering towers you can see from the outside.

    Thanks! That worked. For others as clueless as myself, Wintergreen's directions are great; I'll add that when you take the first right and go up the stairs there is a door. Go through that and you are by a circle of water in the ground, which is the portal. The water does -not- show on your map when you enter the college as it is "outside."

    I agree that more interior space would be nice. Those towers are begging for garrets, and there is not really anywhere that makes sense to set up a food preparation area. But oh my do I still have ideas for this glorious place -- the interior may be more of a meeting hall than a residence but the outside is chock full of fantastic areas to set up interesting things.

    I think I'll set up a food prep area in one of the side rooms off the great hall. Obviously that is set up for "throne room" plus common gathering area, with tables etc.

    I would love to have the towers usable too - for servants' quarters and so on! I'm pretty sure I'm going to do a lot of plants outside, and probably inside too. The one thing that everyone who saw my places in RIFT mentioned was that I did "houseplants"....

    i just took my first look at the villa, and it's huge and gorgeous...my only issue with it is that it is soooo huge, yet you can't mount, not even in the "outside" area, and there's a lot of outside area there. I know that's to be expected, as the game considered the entire thing an "internal" space, but, oh well...otherwise, it's a beautiful house...

    no in the room on the right hand side as you just come in, there were wall to wall built in bookcases before. if I remember correctly - they didn't even count as furnishings, they were just part of the wall. that was before they made them craftable though.

    Read the thread. There are instructions for how to get there listed above (it involves going to the Psijic College Ruins).
