My suggestion to make fishing better

Have fishing events that can give away interesting rewards, such as motifs from various dlcs/chapters. Odd rare chances to get rare blueprints that you can't typically get (such as imperial and others) and maybe add outfits you can get from fishing as well.

Personally, I think it'd be cool if ZOS added a small — SMALL! — chance of getting eaten by a shark if you're fishing in oceanic waters. ;)

    "Better". Not "cool".

Also, every other time some random critter interrupts my game play, my first reaction is not "Oh! How cool!!"

Automate the process entirely, so you can use chat or play the inventory mini-game at the same time.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

    1. Get rid of the node system altogether and just let us cast our line into any body of water deep enough like literally every other MMO.

Having to run from node to node completely ruins the relaxing and laid back nature of fishing.

    2. Give us an actual reason to fish.

Outside of one time goals like achievements or recipes the only reason to fish is to farm perfect roe, problem is the drop rate is abysmal and its far more efficient to farm the gold to buy perfect roe than it is to fish for it. Most MMOs that offer fishing have recipes that require specific fish to make, giving people a reason to keep fishing.

#1 would be amazing! I don't mind the holes, but I really hate the way they're tied to node mechanics like chests or mats. I like taking a short break to fish every once in a while. I'd love to be able to stop for 3-5 minutes to fish here and there. But the holes take at least ten minutes (or more) to deplete. That's too long unless I'm really in the mood. Make that tweak, and I'd probably fish every day instead of once or twice a month.

I love fishing in game and would really enjoy some fishing related event(s).

I was thrilled with the additions they gave fishing in Summerset with the added furnishings and containers.

I hope they continue to enrich the fishing table and continue to improve upon it.

I would love “trash” furniture to be added. Grey stuff, broken urns/furniture that could be placed in homes. Of course I would love trash furniture to be added to ALL loot tables, but ...

PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.
    Eve Morrison - Templar DPS - Furniture Crafter/Maker of Arms - Co-op w/hubby/achievements/crafting
Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist
    Siluna Southpaw - StamDK DPS slippery-fingered type/Murder hobo - RP/Solo/Storyline

Maybe make the citrus fillet and the takeaway broth much better than Witchmother’s and Dubious rather than just a small amount. Make the Perfect Roe worth it.

I been thinking this type of event for a while, however, I am concerned that fishing in this game isn't even up to par with other MMO's. Maybe make an update first that at least lets you fish anywhere.

I do believe they shortchange what fishing could be.

While I'm not against improving those gold recipes it wouldn't actually change anything. It would still be a more efficient use of time to farm the gold to buy perfect roe than to fish for it. There needs to be other useful resources you can get from fishing that doesn't require spending hours just to get 1 or 2 of.

I agree about the farming of the fish for perfect roe is terrible. Exchange rate for time wasted is awful.

Depends where - I am fine with an Dreugh interrupting my fishing session on the bitter coast - that is what I do while fishing, harvesting dreugh wax, as soon as they show up again.
