I don't think you understand OP's intention well. It's more of 'why do people that do nothing get rewarded in an event such as this?'VaranisArano wrote: »We made it without them, right? So what did all their negativity accomplish?
Nothing, except annoying you.
Forget it, I'm gonna ride my new mount into battle in Cyrodiil, and build a stable for my new pony in my fancy new house.
Because it sells DLC, and because it will sell Crown furniture packs.Geroken777 wrote: »I don't think you understand OP's intention well. Why though? It could have just been simply something like this:
People who bought summerset before this event have to do the achievement to achieve the rewards.
People who bought summerset during the event only get the house if we do achieve it WITHOUT having to do the achievement. If they do the achievement, they also get the mount and the pet. (This way it will encourage them to buy it as the top prize is guaranteed if players achieve it, at the same time rewarding people who get to do it.)
People who bought it afterwards or do not do the achievement if they bought summerset before the event get nothing.

- You logged in.
- You visited 9 virtual locations.
- You got free digital thing(s) as a result.
- Everyone that purchases Summerset and logs in before the 7th gets the same, and ZoS gets paid.
(This took 90 minutes max, from "I've never had a character on this server before" to manual completion of the achievement.)
While it qualifies as doing something, it hardly qualifies as work, let alone the hard variety.
TL;DR: Other people being granted it in no way, shape, nor form diminishes the value of the free item you have received.

which defeats the purpose of having this event as summerset promotion in a first place. ZoS wants to sell more copies. moreover... other then gloating of facebook. how do you tell the difference between people who were unable to complete achievement becasue they were away, had computer troubles or any other number of reasons why someone may not have been able to play during the event week. why punish them?
