I went and did the achievement to help players in the quest of getting the rewards. I guess you can say I care. I do not care if I personally get any of the rewards or not.
I think the event on the whole is a good idea and it is cool they are doing something we can all contribute to. This is why I contributed as to encourage this kind of event in the future.
These specific rewards are not important to me.
There should be pet and mount rewards in game that are hard to get. These mounts/pets will stand out as you earned something that was difficult. VMA comes to mind as this is hard to complete and the rewards are nice. These are the types of things you can add mounts and pets too that would allow you to have something that few others have.
There was a mount reward in WOW that required you to have a druid in your group and fight a optional boss for a chance to get the mount. At first this boss was hard to kill when the expansion came out. It was a rare mount to see for a while and it was cool to have something that a lot of players did not have. Later of course they nerfed the requirements and everyone was able to obtain easily, but for a time it was a cool thing IMO.
There is not a lot of this in ESO and I would like to see more of it.
Do not get me wrong I do like the community event. I wish the rewards where more meaningful. Mounts and all that are cool, but I have 22 mounts. I have several houses. Do not need a event to get more?
For example. Rewards held until the next event.
- Increased movement speed for everyone
- More XP for everyone
- faster mount speed for everyone
- Double node rewards in a specific area
- Free costume changes in the dye station
- free respecs
Let the community work together to make the game better for everyone.
One last thing. If the house was put up for the reward with this statement I think it would have more meaning to the players.
Upcoming community event.
-If all players complete the event and we get to 100% we are going to give away a house for free. If we do not get it the house will be sold for 20K crowns
This would be a cool thing to know we have a chance to get it for free but can buy it if we fail. This of course does not change the reward and it is still a just a house reward, but there is some defined stakes in the event.

So basically more items like the Stonefire scamp and near impossible to get Soul-Shriven skin from the ICS?
Yes, though the act of getting the chance to get the drop should be just as hard. Hard to kill boss, plus small drop chance IMO. This makes the reward special when you get it which is more important than making sure everyone gets it.

Why not just take 30 minutes out of your day to jump over to either the EU or NA server to help out your fellow players! So rude!
But then I took a step back and realized that gaming really is ME time. These so called "selfish players" may be totally giving in their real life and that gaming for them is the one moment where they really don't need to worry about other people. I completely get that!
Anywho, not sure why I felt the need to type this out but I did. Thanks for just being in ESO everyone!

I rather get 200 transmute crystals than another house. Perhaps I'm biased because I already have a house (nothing huge, just Mournhold Keep) and that's plenty for me. Also, since I've already completed this achievement a while ago I don't feel like there's anymore I can do.Housing and pets are things that I don't care about in ESO and because of that I won't be upset at all if event fails. Done pathfinder on EU long time ago but I really don't have motivation to do in on NA, there's nothing in it for me.MinarasLaure wrote: »No, not really.
Got my achievement back in the days on Na server, there is no way I'm going to create a toon in the eu server.
Did my share, don't really care about pet, Mount or the house.
@MooseKnuckles88 @Lettigall @MinarasLaure
You all can do it for the community, for your friends and guild mates. There could be an event in ESO with your favourite in-game activity, and mybe there would be a reward for your liking... that you won't get because people wouldn't be interested in something they don't really like to do. Changeing region, creating a toon and finishing the tutorial, then grabbing the achievement can be done in an hour, and that helps for a couple ten thousands of fellow players...
Sorry but I don't want to waste an hour of my time for something I don't have zero interest in and if the time come, I will respect what other people do with their valuable time.
Yet you wasted 3-5 minutes here to write that down. Guess that 3-5 minutes were not important to you.
I can access the forum from work, while I can't play from work.
I can access the forum from my mobile, while I can't play from my mobile.
Your point doesn't make sense.
I don't feel like wasting even half an hour of my time doing something I have no pleasure in doing for something I'm not interested in.
Deal with it.
Whoever says it takes half an hour to get the achievement on the other server simply lies.
It takes at least a good hour, and considering I can do so many different thing I enjoy, it's a no for me.
I and many others already got the achievement on the server we play on, and that's what we feel is enough from us as contribution.
If you guys have the time to get the achievement on both servers, good for you, I dont.

Well, that wouldn't be a community event anymore.
The point of event like the current one (beside being marketing tools to boost the chapter sells), is to reward as many people as possible, the house is special because it's tied to the event, even if it won't be rare if we happen to get it. Same with mount and pet.
I don't know why so many people care about exclusive collectibles: rather than having unique things maybe try to use them in unique ways
Unique means one of a kind. How would you offer this to a MMO?
I think that ESO already has these: there are achievements, skins, sets accessible only through hard content, be it solo or group: you'd like to have more of those or something else entirely?I also am aware that the community event is different than the awards I am speaking of. I am just tired of generic rewards everyone has. This is why hard to achieve things in MMO's are important to me. Makes the rewards less abundant and gives the players a sense of accomplishment as the players is one of few people who have the reward.
