My crates from Quakecon was given to me at the wrong server.

So I've waited for my crates from Quakecon the past few weeks after the livestream and kept messaging customer support on the problem, no response. After giving up on the whole thing, the summerfall event started and I found out getting an achievement through the EU server counted as well. So I went to make a toon and afterwards the crates I was suppose to be rewarded in the NA server was given to me through the EU server.
I wanted to know is there a reasonable explanation behind this?
