Does it still drop? I haven't intensely farmed Fungal Grotto, but I had some lucky weapon drops.
So I figured what the hell I'll use the weapons off this set for my build.
Now when I searched if there were any specific drops from bosses. I noticed some talk about the bow not dropping anymore with the smart loot introduction.
Is this true?

✭From what I'm aware it doesn't drop since bows dont do melee damage. Even if they did you'd be better off running an Agility, Masters or Maelstrom bow in it's place since you'd be getting 0 benefit from running a Vipers bow.@Sparr0w so I get the notification

Yeah the Bow would be temporary in the first place, because Master's Bow would be the most optimal. But I don't have that one yet.

The PVP crowd completely abused the crud out of it.
Zenimax obliterated it with the nerf hammer and lit the pieces on fire after.

Was kind of useful before 2-handed weapons counted as 2 pieces - just to keep that 4th set bonus (while Dw on the main bar having the 5th up for melee)
But yeah probably not worth farming now.Minalan owes me a beer.

✭✭✭✭✭According to the One Tamriel patch notes, sets that proc off of melee damage dont drop ranged weapons anymore. It was intended for "smarter loot" such as sets like Marksman which only procs on bows, but it impacted sets like Viper too.0 -

I'm going for an off-meta full Poison Build to do akatosh-knows-what with in PvE. I just had incredibly lucky weapon drops lol.
