How about a sticky at top of bugs forum stating which bugs are known about and which are being worked on?

ZOS actually used to have one of these each update but I think it just became somewhat problematic for them to update.
As well as trying to figure out which bugs to track on there and which to leave off.

Enough with the gallery of GIFs showing cockroaches and/or other insects!!! It was hilarious in 1985 but not any more. Or is that the point?

Certainly ZOS could publish such a list, if they wanted to pay someone a salary and benefits to spend time and effort to do that. Would creating and maintaining such a list be worth the cost?

Regardless, just be aware of the folllowing:
    • Certainly, some IT manager probably has a list of reported "bugs" sorted according to their priority for investigation and, when confirmed, their priority for being remedied. Often the lists change and the priority of each prospective task changes, too. No one would benefit from a continuous public debate as to which "bug" is more significant than any others.
    • Discovering whether there is a flaw and, if so, what its effect(s) are, ordinarily requires a lot of time and effort. Some flaws are easily recognized, and, perhaps, easily remedied. For others, it isn't like replacing the worn-out spark plugs in an automotive ignition system. It's more like disassembling the transmission to see whether a gear or a bearing needs to be replaced. Then realizing that the transmission should be re-built, if not also modified or even re-designed.
    • A "known bug" is one that has been confirmed by a programmer to exist. That is not the same as a player's report of some particular problem -- one which might be, but often is not, caused by a flaw in software design or by an error in the design implementation. The ZOS developers probably have a list of events which are known to be NAB (Not A Bug).
    • For almost any software such as a game, a significant percentage of "known bugs" will never be corrected. Some are just "cosmetic" and don't affect whether the output is correct. No one wants to expend resources to make the software perfect unless they really must do that -- such as financial software for a bank or an insurance company, or software that operates aircraft, satellites, or interplanetary spacecraft.
You pay for what you get, whether you're satisfied by what you pay for.
