- 15 characters with in-game gold or crown purchased bag upgrades (up to 140 each character) = 2,100 slots
- Mount bag space upgrades (15 mounts x 60) = 900 slots
- Personal bank space (with upgrades & ESO+) = 480 slots
- Home storage bins = 360 slots
Total: 3,840
Personal Guild Banks = 500 slots each (up to 2,500); limit of 5 guild banks
If a player doesn't have any personal guild banks, we're still approaching 3,900 inventory slots ... not including the crafting bag or stacked inventory.
So, the first question for any player feeling constricted on inventory ... have you hit 3,840 character and bank slots yet? Even without ESO+ you’d only subtract the double bank space (240 slots).
If you can't manage what you have in that allotment of inventory slots that's your own fault [shrug].
My preferred solution would be to make set-items researchable, so that once you researched it, that particular combination of piece, weight and trait would be added to your account, so that it could be crafted again later on.
That would simplify inventory management and create a new completionist motivation inviting players to get all the sets in the game.

How many people have fifteen characters, let alone fifteen characters with upgraded mounts? Your math is grossly unrealistic.

Not the way zos keeps changing stuff around. For example a year ago bsw was considered junk - now it's bis again. Spriggans has been in and out of favour numerous times. Same with worm and spell power cure.
Look at the people who trashed their training VMA staves and well fitted monster helms but we now have transmutation.
I like to keep sets I've grinded hours for and simply want more space even if it's only more housing chests.
If you're obsessed enough to try to keep lots of sets, you're obsessed enough to at least max out your 8 base character slots.weedgenius wrote: »

This is actually a really good idea. To counter the criticism that it would stop people from running content repeatedly I'd suggest making some sort of required item/stone/key/whatever that drops from pledges or somesuch.
I know about min-maxing the amount of inventory slots to the player, that is not the problem.
The problem is how annoying and boring it is to play Inventory Management Online.
So yeah, a few weeks ago I went and deconned all the sets I’ve been saving that I might need one day.
I got to the point where I would rather be faced with re-farming something I once had that got buffed, than to keep shuffling gear sets between my alts.

Ah can you please use your excellent maths skills to tell me how much it would cost to get that amount of storage. For a typical player a bank of 100 (mostly full of mats) and 8 toons with 80 spaces each gives a total of 740 but unless you play your characters with 0 inventory spaces about half that is usable storage. Not everyone is a whale, the Tuna need storage space too.
