i'm glad people are having problems getting twitch drops seeing as how us console players don't get any at all lol

That is an odd thing to find joy in.

    lol

there are 2 kinds of people. those who see something they like and work on getting it too (that would be sitting on ZoS to get twitch drops working for consoles)

and those who are so bitter that they would rather the other person doesn't have what they want either.

why be that second person? why? it doesn't improve your life. it doesn't get you twitch drops. why gloat over misfortune of others?
I mean, 2/3 of the player base is not getting the twitch drops/crates, but as a console user I’m only a bit upset about it.

being upset about not getting drops is very fair. gloating about other people not getting drops though? that's the part that i will never EVER be able to relate to. it very much IS a very strange thing to be happy about.

and ZoS really does need to step up their game and make twitch drops available for consoles or at the very least some sort of contingency like.. making it part of a daily log in reward console players get, for the duration of "all channels have daily drops enabled" or something
I remember one twitch drop that happened, for console players to participate in the free flame atro wolf gift you had an hour to kill something. Completely forgot about it and a week later I had I think 3 crates and the flame atro wolf pet without being notified. It’s cute tho.

flaming cheese wolf! i mean.. its not ideal, but its a start. we really should encourage ZoS to make more improvements to the whole crown crate system, for all platforms.
    dirty worthless casual.

    So, here's how this works:

It doesn't matter how long you watch a stream or how many channels you watch. You have a chance to get one Drop each day for the current campaign that's active (it ends in 2 days). For ESO Live, we typically guarantee you'll get at least one Drop while watching the show. But you'll need to check the schedule on the website to see when Drops will go out - they're typically once a day in the morning.

With respect, something feels off since the 21st. I'm not sure if something was changed in the algorithms, but the drops appear to have all but stopped, including while watching the Lore Pathfinder run on the 21st. So, it could just be that RNG simultaneously looked at all of us and decided to shank us, something was changed, or something's not working right at the moment.

I might nickname mine to cheesecake or something :3
We should, bc the free hollowjack Crates was a nice thing too for everyone.

If you haven't gotten a single crate since it started, check if your account is still connected.
I've heard from people in stream they randomly dot their acc disconnected from twitch.
And you don't loot if you're not connected.

Me i'm averaging about 0,75 crate a day. Meaning i loot one most days but not all.
And i have an ESO stream up 24h a day. (got cable :P)

So the drop rate must be indeed maxed at 1 a day but the actual drop rate should be higher if there's already a drop rate max. They are basically shafting players that cant have twitch up for hours at a time.

IMO you either implement a max drop rate OR a low chance to loot a crate, never both!
Currently the only one winning from this whole thing is the add companies who stream their adds on twitch. The streamers are not winning because the views they get are artificially inflated.
Twitch isn't winning because of the higher bandwidth used than normal.
ESO isn't winning because players aren't actually watching streams, just having em run in background while doing other stuff.
And the player is not winning because of the cost and effort it takes to loot even 1 crate a day.

Would players still watch a stream after having already gotten their daily crate if only the max 1 crate a day was implemented with a higher drop rate? Probably yes for a large number of the better streamers. There are a lot of streamers who are just turning on a webcam while they play, or not even that. However those that do interact with their viewers will find their audience with time.
However what it would change is the huge number of lurkers only in streams for a drop. saving everybody time and effort.

The whole addictive nature of crown crates however are another discussion entirely.
What are Natch Potes? Can you eat those?
    I believe in Genie-Gina.

I don't know why people keep saying don't mute. I have consistently been getting crates while having actual twitch muted. the only difference that i found regardless of the claims that length of time watching doesn't matter.. that it DOES in fact matter. mainly because drops seem to only be released during random time of the day and you have to be actively watching something to get them. unless you are incredibly lucky to tune in at just the right time

I thought that you have a drop chance in random stream per day and you'll get the crate only after stream ends. If it's not, well, it seems I have used all my luck.
*shocked keeps looking at the people who got 2 or more apex mounts from the free crates*

I noticed a lot of streamers (e.g. Stream Team) telling false information to their viewers.

    Such as:

    1. "Watching my stream longer will get you a higher percentage for drops."
    2. "Watch until the end of my stream for drops!"

I don't know if they are actually misinformed or actively trying to be misleading to get viewers to stay longer.

Also, I only watch for like 10 minutes every day at around the daily reward reset time (so I remember) and always get the 1 drop per day.

You definitely do NOT need to be watching "during the drop release time" or whatever.

hmm... I wonder if there is a drop window around reward reset then?I'm thinking about drop windows mainly becasue I'm relatively sure I read something to that end in twitch FAQ, though I could be wrong.

I do know that mute doesn't stop you from getting crates from personal experience
