Burning Spellweave Inferno stuff drop rate

There one thing I just cannot understand. I farm for this set over a week now and... Got everything I need in divines but still has no Inferno Staff. I had other weapons, jewelery, multiple resto staffs but never Inferno?

Is the drop of this specific Item broken or Its meant to be that way.

I have no problem with grinding and hunting for items and I'm even glad that it takes some time to build my satisfaction when I finally find it - but this is just ridiculous.

I farm City of Ash I and I can say I can do it with my eyes closed now as I done over 50 times or so...

Any clue whats going on?

    Takes a while. I didn’t get one for the longest then I got one two runs in a row. They do drop.

    Weapon drops are ridiculous. It took me around 250 solo runs of nDC 1 & 2 and 200 group runs of vDC 1 & 2, to get a 2h Axe of Truth.

    im after a BSW chest at the moment. do you think i can get it? every other item dropping.

    i swear this game listens to what im saying.

    I did 452 runs of VoM before I saw a Rattlecage resto staff I don't use (there was not always guaranteed drop of jewelry/weapon at end bosses in dungeons lol....).
    I did 96 runs of Wayrest Sewers before I saw a Combat Physician staff I barely use (now I might though).
    I did 15 runs for an SPC restoration staff I don't use anymore.
    I did 67 runs of BC for a Sanctuary staff I no longer use.
    I did 43 runs for Toothrow Bow, Lightning Staff, Axe, that I at least still use for hybrid ...

    See where I'm going? Don't waste your time farming dungeon sets. Trust me, you will regret it later when you shelve the gear. It still hurts me to this day to see my gold Omen's Edge and Rattlecage Staffs. Don't be like me.

    You need to amp up those rookie numbers. I would say around 300 times of doing it is a good guess when to expect the staff. I know people that have done it over 400 times.

    Rigged. After 190+ hours of farming I just gave up

    :) I play Magicka Warden so I don't have many options here. I tried to farm for Master Architect but its so hard because not so many people (even in my guilds) are interested in doing it. Also with the upcoming 30% nerf to the bear i don't think its worth anyomore.

    I wanted BS because I do a lot of fire dmg so it will work well.

    If I had other good options I would do it:)

    Just run a lightning staff, if you have one. I do on my magdk and it works fine, mag wardens have a ton of aoes too.

    It's a staff :) ...it's sharpened :p ….it's an ice staff :| ...and it's sunderflame :confounded:

    It did drop eventually in decisive (wow, 40% chance for 1 ulti....thanks Zos), I still keep my purple-sharpened-sunderflame-ice staff as a memento.

    Hopefully my new book "How I made 10 billion gold selling Alkahest to vendors" will make me rich and famous.

    I farmed CoH1 for weeks trying to get 2 bsw swords. Got like 3 inferno staves while doing so lul
    Same happened while farming a seconds overwhelming sword. Was in that dungeon so often and have like 15 different staves and everything by now but just got the second sword yesterday. I am pretty sure some items have a higher change to drop than others.

    Cross your fingers and think to yourself “I really want that sunderflame resto staff”. Your burning spell weave inferno staff should drop in no time.

    I recently finally got my first one of these, been wanting one for my mag dk for over 3 years :) Got a purple Decisive one that I transmuted Nirnhoned :) They do exist, just when you least expect them.

    They alter the drop chance of bis items. I have no proof, but they do. I have run this like 200 tiles and no staff for me.

    You have no proof. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. There is no reason to think they would do this. You people that are not getting them in 300 runs are simply having bad luck. People that get the staff in 1-10 runs do not complain, so you never seen that end of the spectrum. I would live to see a parse with a lightning staff vs a first staff. I would predict they are close. Close enough to not worry about farming a fire staff, if you have a lightning staff.

    The drop rate for BSW in City of Ash is definitely weighted differently ran COA 100s of times ended up get 2 full sets of head to toe, rings and neck of Emberflame including sharpened sword and a shield before getting a full set of BSW

    People want the fire staff because bsw procs from fire damage. And they want a staff rather than body pieces because they want to front bar it with a vMA staff back bar. Sure you can run something else front bar for a little less damage, but that’s not what min-maxing is about.

    I got two in one run. One from a chest, another from the boss. That was my 4th farm run.
    However, it took me 40ish runs for a BSW neck to drop.

    RNG is RNG. She can be a cruel mistress.

    My old theory was don't equip the stuff you want to find.

    So my magsorc farms for stamblade gear and vice-versa

    Probably no effect but makes me feel better.

    I don't know, I farmed hard for a Combat Physician resto staff...My brother joined me on the farm for one run, and sure enough he got it and traded me it... Then he wanted Bone Pirate Axe and the opposite happened, I traded him. Seems like RNG...

    Dude. I totally understand why you want a fire staff. Obviously it is bis. But you are only losing one source of fire. Light and heavy attacks and since light and heavys can't proc burning, you are only losing at best one chance a second. Especially on a mag dk, you are not going to lose a lot. On a magden, you still are only losing one chance. Honestly, I have never seen a magden build but I imagine that it is not much different from a magblade, ie, front bar looks like inner light, deep fissure, bird of prey, flex(either eledrain or clench), dive or force pulse and ulti is either the bear or northen storm. Back bar would probably be something like Channeled Acceleration/inner light, swarm, blue betty, winter's revenge, wall, ulti is bear or destro. Now I would imagine also that deep fissure is in the top 3 and that is AOE, so is winter's revenge and wall. You can have fire wall and a infused fire enchantment and that would proc bsw pretty much off cooldown. You would buff 3 of your highness DPS abilitys with a lightning staff. Seems like it would be fine.
