Basic question on Steam but haven't seen an FAQ on it yet

I have ESO on the company site I think, not on steam. Since I'm thinking of buying steam keys for expansions, can I somehow get the game on Steam from my copy on the company site or or would that need re-buying it? The pricing is a little weird - on the sale, Summerset + base is $3 more than without base game, but Summerset CE + base is $9 more than without base game.

It works fine you have an external account or a pre-2016 steam account.0 -

Not sure when my account is from but it works fine for me too.
Thought I'd had massive problems at one point then realised I'd kicked the router plug out of the socket while vacuuming behind the sofa. How embarrasing

Well, the two expansions are on sell for Steam keys for about $30, but it's $9 more if I want to re-buy the base game also.
