Did my dues and finally started a character on the EU server.
Leveled her to 10 last night and of course did the sightseeing tour in Summerset.

There were lots of rather friendly EU players offering tours and ports to Artaeum.

They probably have the mindset of "well if everyone has it then I don’t want it."
    Seriously?

Yep. I remember raiders from back when I played WoW, who (when some raids were made 'more accessible') complained bitterly that their amazing raid armor - which still had the awesome stats which let them kill everything with ease - was now "worthless". Because more people could get it. /facepalm

@Audrena - What server? I have a dozen who are 110 & 3 that have started the new zones so far. I play on Silver Hand.

@Thrain - Thank you for participating! Now take a break & heal up from that surgery! I hope you feel better VERY quickly!

@Kiralyn2000 - They STILL are! The whining about removing LFR... Let's just say the world will never need to mine another ounce of salt. LFR gear is NOT the BiS, the hardcores still get all the best stuff but they just can't handle that "the casuals" get to see the raid content too.

I don't think I will EVER understand the mindset of some people... "I don't like what's being offered so I won't help get others get it"; "If everyone has this then it won't be special so I won't help"; "I'm not helping because no one NEEDS more than one pet/mount/house & if they want more then they are 'addicts' and I won't support that". So much "I", so little "we".

@Shaie Most of mine are on Dath'remar and Khaz'goroth (Oceanic servers based in Sydney, ah that beautiful 12ms ping ;) but I also have three on Aerie Peak (US) who are all Alliance (all but two on Oceanic are Horde ;)

(Oh, I should correct my earlier post slightly in that I only have one "max level" character as of the new expansion's release, the others will be levelled up promptly though, they're all waiting patiently at 110 or 111!)

And yeah, the "I won't help with this because it devalues the reward / I don't want the reward / I'm protesting at PTS changes that aren't even live yet" brigade just mystify me.

What I've seen in game is people helping each other out with tips on where to go, ports to Artaeum, general excited conversation in chat about the event, etc etc. It's a community event that the WHOLE community gets to participate in - doesn't matter if you're Champion 780 or level, err, 43 like me ;) and it doesn't matter if you do trials, PvP, dungeons, if your endgame is crafting, fashion or furniture, or if you just like derping around the game world taking in the sights and exploring the story. Everyone gets to join in. And my perception of the way people are reacting to it in game is that they really, really like it.

I mean i know a lot of people who simply refuse to go to summerset because they're doing everything in the game chronologically and don't want to touch the content way ahead of them. And the pet/mount/house isn't enough to make them screw up their immersion.

(myself included, altho i dont even have summerset yet for that reason)

Other people just don't care too much for any of those rewards in general so they won't do it lol.
Then the rest of these people are those who don't want anything that isn't unique or exclusive. The "if everyone has it i dont want it" mindset.

I'm kind-of in that situation - I have a set order for content on most of my characters (usually, but not always, chronological) and I'm not deviating from it. But unless you think seeing the map yourself would ruin it for you there are ways around that.

I did it on my crafter because he already lives on Summeset so it was easier and he goes all over to collect crafting materials and is doing almost no quests so it doesn't really matter what order he visits the maps.

Another option would be to make an alt to do it - if you own Summerset they start there anyway and with level scaling they don't need to be levelled up or anything. There's barely any combat involved and it's all normal enemies so you can just create a character, run around the map and then delete them.

However you do it you don't actually need to play any of the storyline or complete any quests, just run around the map. You probably will encounter one story NPC who says a couple of lines related to the main quest but it doesn't give anything away - he's in the promotional material for Summerset, it'd be weirder if he wasn't there and all it tells you about the story is there are monsters.

I did NA on PS4 yesterday, will create new account on EU server tonight.

I'm a new player, only have one CP101 character at the moment, if I create new account on EU server, can this new character have access to mount straight away or do I need to level it to 8(?) to be able to use mount?

The mount is available right away. No level8ng required.

Its the mount that comes with summerset.

Only if you have the Collector's Edition of Summerset - the regular one doesn't come with a mount. My poor Xbox EU character was relieved to find that the original disc copy on that platform came with the "Gold Pack" which included a basic horse, but aside from situations like that, you're walking till level 10 on consoles

I was pleased to see that several account-level mounts transferred over on PC though - including the Ice Wolf from the Twitch giveaway.

Secretly lowered their target-number, or just people had more time on the weekend. Still pretty sure we're getting the house almost guaranteed as I think it looks good for ZOS that this community event be seen as 100% successful.

    Not my thing.

Helping other people get a treat isn’t your thing eh?

Personally I think the mount and pet are ugly and I don’t like McMansions in games or real life.

AND ESO rarely does a community wide event so I feel like participating in it will encourage them to do more, maybe even for something I like.

I'm not going to contribute to other's addiction. How many houses, furniture, costumes, mounts, etc. do you need?

I'd rather see large scale in-game community events focusing on combat and rewarding rare gear or items (not just cosmetics).

I don't have any houses. If I want to collect mounts or pets that is MY business. From what you wrote, I guess you like to PvP? I see NO point in that, NO reason for it WHATSOEVER in a fantasy Role Playing Game whose primary reason for existing is that players are trying to save the world from great evils. HOWEVER, if there was an event such as this in which ALL players would/could benefit from something that called for PvP, I would put aside my hatred of it & participate because others would get something they liked or desired. That's called "giving a little something for the greater good", but I think perhaps you can't understand a concept like that.

You are SELFISH and that is all there is to it. Why do people like you even play Massively Multi-player games? I'd really like to know, because this type of game generally requires players to work together at various times, but from your self-serving post (and the similar self-serving posts of others in this & the other thread) I can't honestly see how any of you can manage that.

Back to the topic at hand. I also am in the camp that believes we'll get the pet & mount (we already have the pet) and a polite message that we didn't quite make the 100% but here's a sale on that house for 72 hours! I also think that it's been stacked against us no matter what Gina or the other CMs say - why give away something they can get a lot of real money for? Since I have no crowns again until November, I guess it's a good thing that I continue to grind out writs & Summerset quests every day so that I will eventually have enough gold to purchase my first house in Alinor. I already have the achieve to buy the Vvardenfell house, but that one is even more expensive than the Alinor house. I'm hoping to have enough gold by Thanksgiving.

Oh and yes I have done NA & will do EU tonight.

They probably have the mindset of "well if everyone has it then I don’t want it."
    Seriously?

Hell I bought the Mind-Shriven horse when it came out and noticed that other people had it too. Was I upset? No, actually I felt glad for them that they had something they liked.
I was even happy that one of my friends bought it too because they liked the horse as well.

I think those people are just very insecure. They cant allow themselves to enjoy something just because its a nice thing and they like it, they're constantly comparing themselves to the others.

No, the 6% average is correct.
They will be updating the score 1 final time on Friday, thus 4 more updates, thus 6% average.
Otherwise, the event would be ending Thursday, not Friday.

Best not to think of it as number of days remaining, just think of it in terms of how many more times the overall progress will update.

Guys, please talk to your friends and other players you PUG with. Ask your guildmasters to mail announcements. There are still many people and even whole guilds that do not believe that doing the achievement on other megaserver counts.
Please show them the Gina's comment (link in this post) and kindly ask them to contribute if they wish to get the house.
6%/day might not be done if no new people will get to know the details.
    Thank you.

Despite me saying I don't have Summerset and not planning to buy, I've decided to go ahead and buy the DLC so I can contribute and help everyone out and keep the community event going. I'll eat instant ramen for a couple days but screw it. You all convinced me even though I'm sure I won't ever touch summerset until at least 6 months later, since I'm doing quests and zones completely chronologically.

All you good folks totally deserve it. I don't even care it's just 2 points towards the goal. Every point counts right?

Yay healthy community! And screw you, all those of you, who are selfish and greedy.

If 100% means 100% of the people that own Summerset then no chance this will happen when 25% of the people that own it have quit. On the other hand if the 100% is of people that have played in, oh say in the last two months then maybe.

This has been answered several times already. No. "100%" does not mean 100% of players who own Summerset.
The 100% is simply ZOS's mysterious target-number. No one knows the number except ZOS.

I doubt that there is even a fixed 'target-number' for ZOS awarding the drops. I expect they are just arbitrarily cranking up the % a bit at a time with every intention of having it hit 100% at completion of the event.

If this event were 'for real' there would have been absolutely no reason why ZOS could not have specified a 'hard target' at the outset. At this stage progress should have slowed to a dribble since most people will have completed the achievement and new sales of summerset cant possibly drive the remainder.

So long as people get the drop they want it hardly matters....

Since we don't know what the real number is to reach the 100% goal, reaching the goal is up to ZOS.

Chances are, the % will slowly climb, stall the last day, and finally reach the goal in the last hour. All in a very dramatic (made for tv) moment.

the rate of completion has not decreased since the event - which to me indicates its going to be hit quite comfortably. If the bar was say 50 percent of summerset oweners - or 3million people or so- i think the rate would have slowed incrementally from the launch. im hopeful

you may not hit the summerset quests for another six months or so, but - you're gonna be chilling in that sweet elf villa in a few weeks :)

I actually have no interest in any of the rewards, they don't fit any of my characters and I already have my most favourite fully furnished Sleek Creek which has everything I'll ever need :)

Just wanna help people who really want it :)

Just hopped over to Xbox European server and did this. Had the NA server done a while ago. Lots of people offering ports, so nice to see everyone pulling together :D

I'm kinda selfish at nature. But I also completed the Achievement pretty much the first week Summerset released, cause I Achievement hunt. Are you still screwing me anyway?
