Summerfall Event-Double The Numbers Right Now!

We can double the numbers for the Summerfall event right now!!

Quoting @ZOS_GinaBruno "it's once per account, per MegaServer, per platform".

No matter what Platform you're on, PC or Console, you have access to two megaservers. Na and Eu!!

Create a character on the other megaserver and do the achievement. Bang, the numbers double!!!

Ok, I may have the time to do it, but i'm trying to get all caught up before Murkire hits and don't want to take the time for something that doesn't interest me much.

Nope. You won't need to change anything but the server to login.

On PC it's a setting on the left, exactly when you are about to hammer in your password.

I've done it on both servers but I think the majority of 'regular' players have already done that too. Just going by what was being said in summerset zone chat. I helped a bunch of EU players on the NA server by porting them to various wayshrines as well.

It's not looking to good for 100% though... yesterday at 10AM it was @ 42% & today at 10AM (AU time) it is 47%. 5% in 24 hours with 5 days to go. I assume the majority of players that 'care' about the event getting to 100% will have already done the achievement & would expect that the percentage per 24 hour period will drop off as time goes on.

Prove me wrong! LOL

No. From the screen where yoiu type your password in... just select the megaserver from the menu & change it to NA or EU. If you've never played the other megaserver before it may require a download.. I am not sure as I have played on both before. You will also need to create a new character (if you haven't done it previously) & ride around on a zero speed horse (which is very painful).

No, you just click where it says which server you're on in the login menu (before character select) and switch to the other. It's the same build. You're thinking of the PTS.

already did both NA and EU on the first day, even though I couldn't care less about the mount and pet, and don't have need for a new house (that won't stop me from helping others to get those things).

You won't provoke an additional download, unless you desire to change your server together with your language settings.

If you do so, you will download the language files.

The issue is that if we have to get on both servers to even stand a chance, then this is no longer a community event. A community event means that it is around YOUR community, me on xbxo na, others on other platforms and servers. We should not need to go to other communities to get close to the target goal. In essence, you wouldn't go to a different country to raise that countries population.

EU stopped being a separate install more than a year ago. It's now merely a toggle switch at login telling the launcher which sever the software will access.

...pretty sure that when ZOS says "community event", they're referring to the general "community" that is the playerbase - everyone working towards a communal goal.

If they were doing separate %counters for each of the six servers, then it might be the way you're thinking.

You do realize the majority of the populations do not read the forums or the websites.. So they might not even bother because they don't know and a great number may not even care.

Sadly, a lot of people are too peeved about upcoming changes to care about this.

Also, a lot of people that DO care have no bloody idea it's happening

Splash screen gets insta-clicked off ~
no one reads the fine print on the launcher ~
most of the community don't come to the forums etc, etc, etc.

Every time I do a PSA in zone chat, far too many are totally oblivious to this event.

Could use everyone who's already done it to do a quick zone by zone PSA when log in, might help, otherwise not looking good.

So far I've seen this event advertised on:

The main ESO site
Facebook
Twitter
Email
Login screen
On this forum
In zone chat (both in Summerset and in other maps)
In guild chat
In 2 guild daily messages

I suppose it is possible that people play ESO but don't read any of the official sources of information from ZOS, keep zone chat off at all times and aren't in a guild or are only in guilds that haven't mentioned it. But by that point I think we're down to a much smaller percentage of people.

It's just a quite good marketing ploy to drive sales of the DLC while it is discounted. The result is predetermined and there is no point in doing the ach more than the once required to qualify for the drop (whatever they have already decided you will get)

Judging by the numbers I would not be surprised if we did not get the mount...

In my opinion this is not good for Zos / ESO because it shows that there is no longer enough players playing the game that truly care. Had a similar event like this been done 2 years ago I think we would have hit 100% easily!

We had a great event planned, sadly noone cared and thus the meter got stuck at 47% on day 3 of 10. We r not quite sure if our expectations in the community were set to high, or if really noone cared.

Thus the hosue will be released at a later date or put in a crown crate or something. As that turned out to be the worst PR-gag ever, we wont bother making events in the future anymore!

Actually, it is quite fun, that event encompases multiple servers. Was glad to see NA folk on EU server asking for taxi, and was glad to have my 3rd lvl char transported on NA to Artaeum.
I mean, I did it in 15 minutes with my fully upgraded mount on EU server (would be even faster if I had discovered wayshrines beforehand), didn't have time to appreciate the sights and all. But with low lvl char it feels quite differently, to slowly explore the game again
