With all that feedback provided about shields cast time, Soldier of Anguish set etc. it will be a big test for you @ZOS, will you listen to players, or simply ignore them? Don't screw this up, I still have faith in your common sense but for me and many else this is your last chance to show us you care about us.

And when it goes to you my fellow players: we all are here to have fun, to enjoy this amazing game, please be more polite for eachother, be less toxic, be more forgiving, smile more, help more and we all will have better time here :) Cheers!

IMO, the devs have consistently shown they care by not caving to the demands of a segment of the player base when it comes to balance changes. They’re smart enough to realize that what is good for the game and what is popular with a certain segment of the player base are not necessarily the same thing. Nothing about any of the proposed changes would lead me to issue some sort of ultimatum to the developers... even if I believed such ultimatums were sensible (which I do not).

Problem is, its a "Test" with thousands of different people grading them on their response.

The devs aren't going to please everyone. As long as they get enough As through D's and not too many people give them an F and leave, I suspect the devs will be fine.

That's also true, but I have more faith in ZOS :)

its not hard to see all balance changes since frags losing a knockdown have been done to improve the solo nb playstyle, streamers have the ear of zenimax atm and its damaging the game more now than it ever has

I feel like there needs to be a "do you wanna end up like magsorcs? cause this is how you end up like magsorcs" meme for this.

I doubt that the folks participating in the PTS are anywhere even close to the level of play that the people who will most affected by this change are. This change will impact people in between the segments of people who are so casual that they dont use shields or are so good that they dont need shields. I doubt that they're represented in the PTS accurately.

The people that struggle in vMA will be impacted. The folks on the leaderboards will not. One is likely to be more dominant in the PTS.

I probably have a little more faith than most that they will revert this. Despite all the rhetoric, there are some strong arguments against it.

Apart from my future Xanmeer Temple, this patch is shaping up to be a largely disappointing patch.

My NB Healer and Tank are getting nerfed heavily in the only areas that they provide any form of utility in. Dodge Tanking is gone so my sustain took a slight hit and while SA should cover it, I'm not fully convinced my Tanking won't suffer as a result. My Healer is screwed wholly that I might respec him back to a pure Magblade again.

My Warden Tank is getting an unwanted Target Stun attached to my self heal ability that hampers its usage that I'll most likely swap to the s*** ally heal morph since I'll at least be able to use it whenever I need it as opposed to whenever something is targetable. And forget about solo content, bear was the only thing that made those tolerable to drudge thru and he's getting knee capped. My sustain improved but that was never an issue for me anyways (I'm an Argonian with potion enchantments, resources are the least of my problems).

My Stamblade is gonna have to join zergs to even survive with SoA becoming a thing and despite the fact I could abuse the set myself, I like my WW build as is but I can already tell that I'm going to get killled much more often with that set becoming a thing.

The only class build that got any real love was my Warden Healer, in which I mean that I am now practically a requirement in end game due to Warhorn Change.

Honestly, I'm just going to lock myself away in my Temple getting it decked out as best as possible and to hell with everything else.

For the first time since it was a thing, my subscription hangs in the balance (or lack thereof). If the current PTS goes live, I am done. I have been hanging on for a while now and trying to be optimistic, but I simply dont see a cohesive vision or plan for things going forward. I have lost faith in those in charge, and I have been defending them for years.

The test for me isn’t whether they do balancing and nerfs correctly. It’s whether a patch can be released with proper QA testing on all sets, gear, passives and skills. The Wolf Hunter update was a complete joke in this regard.

I haven't seen a single counter proposal that delivers on the dev's desire to nerf mitigation in both PvE and PvP, while also making sustained DPS more difficult. So imo there's nothing for them to listen to other than a bunch of crying sorcs.

Thing is they took away from something that didnt need any taking away from. That is because they dont know their own game and take advice from biased potatoes.

I'm totally with ZOS on this one, their argument for why shields should have a cast time is on point. IT has been rubbish for some time that certain classes can press a button at any time through their rotation and know that it means they won't die and can continue to pump out huge damage.

If they can fix the interruptability of casting shields and make the animation a little less clunky then it'll be a change for the good.

If ZOS actually listens and reverts the cast time change, I'll be surprised. They've made many bad changes before and just rolled with it.

Sometimes it's like ZOS saving face is more important to them than making the game genuinely better.

I agree for me at least. A lot is riding on the final product released in this patch. If the Magwarden changes stay as is I'm leaning very hard towards walking away after 4+ yrs. If what they are doing know is what they got from the class reps and is their twisted version of what they were given, I'm not fanboy enough to bend over and keep smiling about it.

Two issues would go a long way toward fixing alot of the animocity this patch.

Remove the cast time from shields, make soldier of anguish unable to stack on a target.

Those two changes would improve opinions drastically. You make it sound like these individual issues cant be fixed. They can. There are no-loss senario's here.
