Hey, Hows it going? Thanks for aking the time to read and possibly help me! Im just coming back to the game after a 5-6 month hiatus and I feel lost. Ive been playing a Stam Dk from the beginning and was wondering what if anything has changed that may affect me in PVE. I have many sets that I can run in the name of versatility but Im not sure they are still worth using or if I need to get the newer sets. I currently am running 5x VO 5x Mechanical Acuity but also have Hundings rage, Night Mothers Gaze, Sunderflame, (insert brain fart) and a few others I cant think of at the moment lol. Are these worth using anymore?

Im also starting a new character for PVP which will also be a Stam DK and was wondering what I could do to be succesful in PVP since Im not really good at it. Sets skills or any other recommendations would be awesome.

Thanks again

You're going to see a majority of Stam characters using Relequins for the amount of DPS it does. Mechanical Acuity took a nerf awhile ago, but it's still somewhat of a decent set. I only have a DK tank, so the sets I'd use are quite a bit different than the Stam DK. But in general, get Relequins from Summerset Cloudrest Trial as your main set. You can also get the new Blood Moon (I think thats the set name) from the new Wolfhunter dungeons as that will help DPS out, especially if you're a Werewolf.

Before you buy it, check the new event that just released. Summerfell. During the event, they are having different specials where Summerset can be bought at a reduced price.

@honestgabe unfortunately I will be buying it myself most likely with birthday money so in a way i am buying it but in another way im not buying so I am stoked about the price drop. I think I can get collectors edition for just under $27. The stars are aligning for a good birthday.

Yeah, Xynode is right: this set is super fun to play with the procs! Not too hard to obtain, either.

This particular set up by Xynode is for PVE. You can find it on YouTube. Good stuff.

As far as PVE goes, everyone has already said enough to help.

For PVP, you can do quite a bit with a stamdK depending on how you want to approach the play style.

I am currently running 5 hundings, 5 Plague Slinger, 2 bloodspawn. 5 md, 2 heavy. Dual wield and 2 hand. Plague Slinger is just a temporary set but it works pretty well as a defensive proc. I also only run 4 offensive skills, claw, noxious breathe, and steel tornado, with leap as the ult. Everything else is buff and mitigation.

And if you need a class for PVP, Argonian is fantastic. The extra mag helps for DK buff skills, the resource return with potions paired with the battle roar passive allow you to spec full into damage and ignore resource recovery entirely.

DK for PvE.. ahhh, nothing much as changed except for the awesome 60 extra CPs.. Yeah, I just came back from bout 5-6 hiatus as well. Oh sure, seems a couple cool new sets with the Wolfhunter DLC and Summerset. However, I'm still fairing just fine with the good ole Sword-Singer/ShackleB or SS/Mech A and Velidreth or Grothdaar for 2H/bow. It's still all about the emplacement of the CPs and the skills/rotations usage. I still whack with a ton of bricks with the Dizzying Swing with other brutal damage dealers as the likes of Flame of Ob, Venom Claws, Noxious Breath, Brawler, Claws, Endless Hail, Poison Inj, and Razor Cal and still love dropping those bone crushing Ice Comet. No lost.. just still fun and enjoyable.
