I too have clicked on Use instead of Link To Chat with a 200k recipe. I was beside myself, 250k is a few months' worth of game income to me, I just don't get my hands on big-ticket items often. But this also showed me how amazing some players in this game are, because someone heard my sad story and freaking SENT ME 200k. O.O I've never forgotten.

I have not made many mistakes by accident. Learned a crafting page on the wrong character, sure, but... doesn't everyone do that, once or twice?

But I never deconstructed anything I did not want yet, I never got caught with something great but stolen, I never bought something expensive I did not want (aside from some really, really cheap crafting pages I already had, but... those hardly count)...

I suppose I make more mistakes because I thought wrong then by accident.

Golded the wrong staff... but the wrongness may have had more to do with someone deciding ice staves should no longer work for DPS...

I suppose we could also count making characters all over the place, back when i was unaware everyone could enjoy every questline thanks to cadwells, and thought I had to have DC and AD characters to see their stories...

Still no big ones.

Obligatory: I learned BA chestpieces on my least craftiest of non-crafter characters. This was pre-Jubilee market crash, too, so the price was through the roof.

Also, I once broke down a Medium Divines Velidreth headpiece after I was carried through vCoS after I had just hit CP160 because I didn't think it looked like a good fit for my stam characters and didn't know any better. I have literally never had it drop for me again.

Gave away an Atherial Dust to a guildy cause I didn't know it's worth on my 1st day back to the game after my 4 month hiatus after Templars were Nerfed last year... Hail Deltia...

It was my first gather after logging in...Everyone in chat was silent for 10 minutes after I gave it away... Bashers could have let me know....

I've deconstructed a few sets to make room that I ended up needing to collect again later. So that's probably my most costly mistake. That and all those Mother Sorrow Inferno staffs I used to vendor...

One frequent mistake I do that drives me nuts also is when I accidentally sell the gear I made for my crafting writs to a vendor by mistake. Also: when I accidentally steal something while trying to turn in a quest or check guild stores. These aren't particularly expensive mistakes, but they are nuisances.

Buying Imperial City was also a costly mistake. And I've bought a few costumes I wish I could take back as well because they dyed like crap.

not one worst mistake but alot of mistakes.

i remember accidently learning the imperial motif when i actually wanted to stow it in my bank... :') it was still in my first year of playing and i knew it was worth alot and that made me really angry

accidently buying imperial city because i thought it was the imperial upgrade X'D hah, funny.

Oh and last week ... it was late and i wanted to sell some stuff in my guilds and accidently posted potent nirncrux for 1k gold only... yeah you guys can guess how fast that was gone. ***.

Deconstructing my whole spinners gear because i've deleted a toon and just realised after i made a new toon that Spinners is good and i could have used it for the new boi :'(

OH XD and at the beginning, where i was a stupid noob...
thinking i was a "tank" not because i had a sword and board but because i liked how cool it sounded in the german description of my game. "protect others" yes! i want to protect others!
So i queued as a tank with sword and board but i am sure didnt knew how to taunt and i had a bow.
All those poor players that needed to play with me... I feel deeply sorry LOL i just wish someone would have explained me what i was doing wrong

Went to respec hit wrong shrine paid to reset stats instead..oh well went to correct shrine and after carefully going through and re picking all those skills and morphs and putting them on my bars...went into dungeon to test my new build...dies way to fast, runs out of stam and magica way to fast gets angry at new builds morphs! and rushes back to re-respec...notices i never reallocated those stats.....

Back when I could first make a 6 trait set I (thought I) made some Hundings pieces and golded them before realising they were the generic pieces... *facepalm*
Also did that kind of thing a couple of times when Master Writs were new.

Recently I had a gold piece ready to hand in to Rolis when I completed the existing MW, and then I forgot I had already made it and made another... except idk where the first piece went. Possibly I stuck it in the bank. But the chances of getting another Hundings Xivkyn Training Arm Cops MW is pretty low.

I made a gold item for a master writ and somehow made it with the wrong trait.
I learn't several purple motifs on the wrong character.
I thought it would be good for resource management to have one stamina weapon and one magica weapon.
I didn't know about feeding your mount for nearly an entire year!
As many people did I deconned or vendored tons of gear that later became BIS like Mother's Sorrow.

I don't know how many times I was on an alt of mine who's crafting skill was maxed but I hadn't put any points into the improvement passive so I wasted like 18 Tempering Alloys on upgrading something... Not only once ;_;

I once enchanted a vMA Staff over the special enchantment ... back before the Staff special ability was rolled into a 1-piece bonus via the Clockwork City patch.

Fortunately that mistake was made on PTS and not Live.

More recently, earlier this year, I opened a 50-stone transmute geode (from the leveling rewards) after already being at the transmute cap. Lost all 50 stones.

My FIRST mistake in this game though was when i brought home that brand new copy the day it was released in stores and put in down on the counter to grab a drink....by the time i had shut the fridge door, my wife had the game in her hands and a happy/mine look as she ran off and installed it.....
.....a week later was back at the store for MY OWN copy!

Haha... I did something stupid similar to that as well when ESO was new. Bought the boxed version because a friend said the download took forever, and I had a pretty slow connection. Went to the game shop, bought it boxed on dvd/blueray. Comes home to install it.. Remembers There's NO dvd/blue ray drive on my Surface Pro, or my laptop... *doh*.... soo... I quickly ran to the computer shop to buy a cheap external USB blue ray, bacuase I thought i would be faster still, than waiting for the download. Installs it... and then I STILL had to download like 30-40GB patches anyways. :'(
