I just launched the Launcher (Mac) and it updated itself (not game) so perhaps they have implemented some fixes.
If you had issues previously it may be worth letting it update and see if there is any change.

Previous Version 1.3.5.953486 New Version 1.3.5.964253may be different version numbers on the PC Launcher version.
