Buff more, nerf less. ZOS lost hundreds last night.

I will admit this up front. Others spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on sports, cars, you name it. Myself, I spend that on MMOs. I invest time and money in game worlds I enjoy.

Last night I nearly spent hundreds in the crown store (on crafting research of all things) to be able to make my own set of Twice-Born Star. Just before I did, a guildmate made a set for me. Turns out it was worse than the Julianos set I would've replaced with it. "Horizontal scaling" in crafting cost ZOS hundreds last night.

Then I heard about the PTS. I play one character. Yes, it's a magsorc. Enough said.

I know of another MMO that's closing soon, but there are still other MMOs and games out there to spend serious time and money on.

Seriously. More buffing, less nerfing for all.

Ya they sent they sent mag players in light armor downba one way street. The sustain in pve almost guarantees you have to wear light. They know light arrnor needs shields.
It is a slippery slope from there. Just shield up and play.

Zos has not lost anyone. At least anyone with half a brain. Pts isn’t live ans time for plenty of changes.

PS. If anyone actually quit over the PTS they were already thinking of it ans merely used this as an excuse.

When you think Sorceror or Wizards, or any casting class what type of armor do you think of them wearing.....not sure yet.....good you guessed it. LIGHT armor. Hmmm imagine that. It's almost like they are trying to get classes more in line with the role they are filling with the armor they use.

Well to be fair. Julianos is better than TBS for a pure damage build but if sustain, max magicka, survivability are issues than TBS is a fair alternative.

Besides the PTS, I'm really trying to wrap my head around just what the issue is with Juli vs. Twice Born.

Researching is completely free, but you were willing to pay more to artificially speed it up. Alright, understandable. But then complaining because it's weaker than a set you already had? Just because a set is harder to achieve doesn't mean it's going to be better for your character.

Twice Born was also created so either magic or stamina could use it, while Juli is solely magic. It's also several years older and is more of a generalist set than Juli. I'm not really sure how its Zeni's fault that you had planned to buy an item, got it for free instead, and then are mad because it didn't live up to your expectations.

Sounds to me like impatience. Not sure what it has to do with PTS.

CP buff us enough. So nerfs should come. Right now you can kill any mob with a heavy attack in open world. The balance is already lost somewhere in the game.

Its an MMO. You don't have to do everything yourself. You especially don't have to pay for 9 traits researched when there are plenty of 9-trait crafters who could make the gear for you, often for mats and a tip.

I mean, if ZOS lost out on your money you intended to buy research scrolls, it wasnt due to horizontal progression. It was due to you figuring out that this is an MMO and you can ask other players to help you out instead of paying for the convenience of quick research to craft it yourself.

People with CP care about open world difficulty? In any random DLC dungeon I run people get kicked for just heavy attacking.

I do care. I miss the VR system so much. CP is great only for alts and nothing else.

My theory is their server can’t handle the high population, hence they need to pis people off, it makes sense.
Even if it’s fake 1 sec cast time announcement or if they revert it back nxt pts patch, they still achieved their goal, reduced the player population to ease the server load. 😂

yeah who doesn't love being confined to one zone for the rest of their lives.... One Tamriel and the dissolution of the VR was the best thing that ever happened to this damn game.

I'm more interested in the decision making process where spending hundreds of real dollars to craft a set of gear that someone could make for you in the game for fake money, or free, was ever an option.

Shield stacking is op, the nerf might go to far, but shield stacking did need an adjustment.

ZOS is not done with changing things, they never are. So just relax.

The really ironic part is that you could have used the PTS to test that build before investing real money in it. Or I would have crafted the set for you if you tempered it yourself or provided mats or game-gold. Dang, dude. I feel ya though. I’m irked too

I don't think anyone has quit. Thing is I don't recall Zenimax ever changing anything from PTS to when it went live. If anything I keep reading "we told them this in PTS and Zenimax did nothing about it".

So basically from what I see, if it's in PTS it will stay. If I am wrong, would love to read examples of what changed when people said something or better when people were outraged about something.

Heck just read all the posts about Warden when in PTS. Then read about Warden after PTS. All the complaints seem to be the same and nothing changed on release.

ZOS stealth changed the traits from the Horns of the Reach patch, nerfing several of them because of OP PTS builds, between the last PTS patch and the LIVE release.

That's the last major change I remember that didn't get into the PTS notes. I think Wardens got a fair bit of adjustment, but I didn't participate in the Morrowind PTS, so I'm not sure of that.

Otherwise, they've changed minor things like Relequen (but not Sloads) and pynadonen motifs as crown crate exclusives, but AFAIK they've never fully reverted a big gameplay change of this magnitude. Adjusted it, sure, but not reverted it.

If the root cause is ZOS, don't expect anything to change about how this game is run.

In which case you can either embrace the Stockholm syndrome or quit when it becomes too much. And if you quit, can we have your stuff?

Jury is still out on that, If the game becomes a chore and they ruin what customers consider hard work they very much will leave.. I cannot play stamina classes so if they make magicka unplayable people will leave.

The synergy cooldown increase from 20s to 30s a few patches ago was reverted. Also the nerf to Templar’s channeled focus last patch. There have been a couple other examples as well. Keep making noise, we can’t let this one go live.

Yes. My sorc has 15k health or thereabouts, light armour. If a boss so much as sneezes on her without a shield, she dies. As it stands now, I already find the combat frustrating to manage, I wouldn’t be able to even marginally enjoy playing if they make it harder.

And no, not playing stamina, and not waiting for a healer every time I step out the door.
