Shield nerf is payback for the war against sloads.

A lot people were pretty mean to Wrobel (spelling?) for the Sloads set...basically mag user shields are finished as a viable option, right?

Theory = this nerf to shields is the direct result of the hate thrown at Wrobel for sloads!

The Soldier of Anguish set is the payback for the outcry against Sload's.

Wrobel's thought process: "You thought Sload's was bad? Well here's a set that's 38% WORSE!"

I seriously doubt it. It's more likely that they have something they plan to release in the next patch or two that is going to be a major boon to magsorcs (probably spell crafting) ... so much so that the entire class would end up being OP without these 'preemptive' nerfs.

Oh no no no, I mean the comparison Ghostcrawler is from WoW and he got blamed for a lot of the bad. Like how Wrobel get's blamed for all the bad combat updates and so forth on here.

Considering how much flak Wrobel has been getting the past few years, I highly doubt he cares about the sloads chapter. That one seemed very civil compared to past discussions (like AoE caps and others).

So how would you change NB in your PVP without hurting them in PVE and making them useless in what is the Majority of the game? People sure do like to throw out nerf this nerf that, without thinking of both aspects of the game.

I think they want combat to be more active. I've been on the PTS and even without spamming annulment I won't really be crying, but light armor is more worthless than before. They should honestly just delete annulment and change it to something else like a heal OR unique resistance buff at this point IMO. Self-heal ONLY of course, so all mag builds have access to at least one reliable one like stam has vigor.

EDIT: The ones that will still be wearing light armor at least...

I'm not calling for nerfs, just saying Blade war vs Sorc was real. And anyway PvE NB are crazy strong, mainly due to sustain, but hitting high 55k+ DPS is pretty common place. So I'm certainly not saying NB are only strong in PvP far from it.

Well they just added a 30% increase in stamina cost to Assassin's Blade and it's morphs, so we will see how that effects sustain. Oh yeah forgot about Spectral Bow actually costing something now.

If wrobel legitimately retaliated to people hating on him there would be a patch with just an absurd amount of bad combat changes introduced in the first week of the pts.

They do not care. Anytime you bring it up they will tell you so. Which is crazy why they'd expect any other reaction from classes they didn't give two craps about.
