Hello Everyone,

Wasn't sure if any of you realized this but you can cancel your auto renewal subscription here. Just a beginner's guide for those unhappy with being mistreated by Zenimax.

I guess mass subscription cancelling will clear some heads in ZOS, but they know that it might happen, so they make ESO+ even more profitable in same patch. So when Update 20 will be rolled out average ESO+ user will wait to look how new rewards work, and then few weeks will pass, change to shields/dodge accepted, builds corrected etc..

I do not agree with the 1 second cast thing.

But ESO is the only thing i play at this moment, that I do not agree with something does not mean that i stop liking the game, my subscription stays, my main is a templar healer anyway.

Now that when Fallout 76 comes out, goodbye ESO and the simple Jack's you have as gameplay combat designers.

I will only miss @ZOS_GinaBruno and @ZOS_BillE from ZOS , they really help when you need it.

You should really show them you mean business by deleting all of your characters before closing your account. :)
"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

I get the ridiculousness concept. Quitting threads in MMO's have been around forever. But it's pointless to give your stuff away in ESO, it's not that difficult to acquire wealth.

It is difficult to casually play a game with one main character if the developers seem to be completely clueless and they gut something you've been spending 2 years building and paying them for the right to do so.

I no longer like the result of my 2 years work due to their ineptness. Thus I'm cancelling my sub until they fix it. I don't think that's ridiculous, it's just good business.

The majority of ESO revenue is generated by Crowns, not subs.

I canceled my sub a few months ago. Ive been waiting for something to bring me back. I did not uninstall or delete my toons, because i hope that something will peek my interest and bring me back to the game more than just playing a quest here and there.
Most likely if Zos doesnt do the 1 second casttime ill most likely resub, because everthing else about this dlc seems good.

I spend money on Crowns. If I cancel my subscription it means I'm no longer playing. This means I won't be buying crown store items, won't be online to help foster a community of players by providing support in PVE and competitive action in PVP, and they won't be receiving my subscription revenue. I see your point, I just think that maybe you're not including the entire scope of what customers leaving subscription and community based games really is.

The more the active user number drops, the more active users that quit because they can't play with anyone.

They need to remove crits also or take off the 50% reduced shield size.

i'm beginning to think the 1 second cast time is a smokescreen to allay all the other crap the designers piled on magicka characters this update, much like the rune cage/frag stun fiasco that they're STILL nerfing (yet again) with murkmire.

I cancelled my sub 18 months ago as I was just so fed up with the crap service from ZOS, in a game that has had the same bugs since launch.

I came back 2 weeks ago but did not sub. I'm not going to stick about. I don't know if the impending changes are good or bad, but to my mind they are ephemeral when you consider how broken this game is, with the same big issues since launch, mediocre and repetitive content, and ZOS just pushing Crown Store tat that appeals to god knows what sort of player.

ESO could have been a great MMO but the developer is very amateurish. I get why people play ESO for free, but can't imagine why anyone would pay for a sub to such a low rent gaming experience. I can see why people sub to things like FF XIV, but that's a really well optimised game with a developer that does offer support etc., ESO is not even as well finished as many of the free MMOs out there.

I feel ya, I liked supporting a game that was casual player friendly. But every F2P game reaches this point in its lifecycle, when that happens it's time to stop giving them money.

That point is when it becomes clear the game developers are not being managed by people who understand the core mechanics of the game and have the power to implement changes that benefit them rather than the community as a whole.

Wrobel playing a Nightblade makes total sense.

Actually nope :) Im here since 2014, always subed, now I'm not, I vote with my wallet :) If this change hits live then I'm gone :) Fair and simple :)
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

Well, if everyone from forum will throw info about update 20 in zone chat there might be much more reaction to all this on forums.. because update info from "news" just tells about some new way to counteract shield and not about destruction of all survivability for squishy builds, especially sorcs

I think is anybody carrying this info to the community? There is zone chat, if everybody will write something like "friends, annulment, evasion and sorc are planned to be destroyed in Update 20, please visit ESO forum and leave you feedback before it's too late". If even 1 from 100 will read it and go to forum, there will be panic all across the servers, good 75% of players are running with staves, when they heard that annulment is gone, some % will react some way.

You're working under the assumption the vast majority of players feel as you do. I'm in zone chat for the past two hours in different zones and it's being discussed. For every one sorc that's mad I see 2 or 3 screaming for joy. Ps4 na.

After ~8 years in WoW, and 3 in RIFT, I've got the quintessential "roll with it" attitude. I'm new enough at this game that I'm not hard-locked to something, and I have 9 girls of different classes to play. So I'll just roll with it all one more time....

Alot of the responses seem to be driven by the fact that you think the intentions I stated in my post are not my actual intentions.

This is an incorrect assumption. My sole intention was to inform console players that are upset about these changes how they can go about cancelling their subscription as it is done differently on PC than on console.

I don't care to argue whether or not the changes make sense. If you think they make sense you're a scrub and not worth arguing with. Anyone with more than half of their brain intact that understand the core game mechanics will very quickly realize how fundamentally stupid they are, they were put together without any effort, and it seems like they are being pushed down to the community so that we can do the job of the developer.

I don't see it as my job to test the mechanics they want to change. They have a public test server for that, makes sense for those who want to help them test, but to push these mechanics the way they were pushed, and after 15 years of MMO gaming, it's very clear to me that nobody with an advanced understanding of game mechanics reviewed these changes before they were pushed. Which is my problem with giving the company money.

It's not that I'm mad about my class, as many of you have mentioned classes change all the time in MMO, for god sakes I played a Retribution Paladin in WoW and ran a 2700 ranked team Pre Bc of Ret War Druid when Ret was an absolutely garbage class, I understand this better than most. The point I'm making, if I'm forced to be pigeon holed into providing a response even though it was not my original intention is that once you're playing an MMO and recognize the developers are trash, it's time to move on.

Hope that makes thinks easier for some of you to understand.
