This is the most amazing patch I have ever seen. I have been waiting for almost 4 years for mag sorcs to finally get the nerf hammer as hard as nbs have.

This is great! We can finally crit shields! No more shield spamming proctards who tank half a zerg around. God bless you zos you have restored my dying flicker of a candle flame back to a roaring inferno bigger than red mountain! God I hope this patch goes live! i spent all day yesterday thinking about this and i slept on it,

im not rejoycing at all and niether should you nor anyone about this.
these changes will effect all of us and could be fatal for sorcerers, and all the other classes including us nightblades, and possibly even eso.

i Hate sorcerers, i love killing them but, i do not agree with the 1 second delay on shield casting.
infact, if that 1 second delay on shield casting goes live then it will be a trickle down effecT.
eventually leading to alot of very serious problems with elderscrolls online and may even be fatal for sorcerers and and up being fatal for all classes.

Downside is your "hide and piercing mark" strategy only reveals other nightblades for 5 seconds from 30.

Sigh, more bait posting. You are well aware that talking like this is only going to get people to fight, aren’t you?
Seriously, any player that actually wants a balanced game is not happy with this patch. I just don’t see a lot of viability for sorcerers anymore in PvP. There’s no need for the shield cast time; being able to apply all the procs, crits and such on them is more than enough of a nerf. And no player can tank half a Zerg in a non-CP environment, except if they do nothing but that(NO DPS).
Btw, I only play a stamina Templar.

well for one reason is because this destroys basic gameplay for sorcerers in general.
does not matter about the shields, this is mainly about the fact thier abilities are being altered in a way that is crippling to something that is fundamental to their class the same exact way our casting cloak is for us nightblades.

I have a super solid build at 4500 weapon damage 2.3k stam recovery 48% crit chance and 3600 crit resist with 25k health and 36k stam and 12k mag and all non proc. I will be loving this next patch sorry that only angry sorcs want to comment here.

Don't rejoice too much

nightblades (magblades harness/dampen shield also got hit) will be next, possibly ZoS is going to "tweak" cloak

let's see how fun this gets in the end

PS: my main is a magblade and find this change unasked-for

If anything, this is bad for nightblades in the long run. Sorcs will no longer be taking any heat so the mob will cry for nerfs on nightblades next. With these kinds of changes I wouldn't be surprised if they gave cloak a cast time.

While I would agree that if my cloak had a cast time I would be a bit upset. However a good nb doesn’t rely souly on his cloak. If you do and your cloak is broken your as good as dead. Also while cloak has no cast time it is however broken by a great deal of attacks where a shield seems to have been the reason so many sorcs have been utterly unbalanced. People are just mad that thier meta sorcs are finally being brought down to earth.

Shields are broken by a lot of attacks too. All of them, in fact

Cloak works as a complete reset of the fight, what Sorcs should have and used to have in Streak. And you're right, NBs don't rely on cloak because they have other tools. Sorc literally has nothing else. No heals, no reflects, no escape...nada.

Sorcs haven't been "brought down to earth," they've been buried.

Iv been playing my stamblade loyaly for 4 years. I am probably one of the best nbs left in my server. And yes there are times when my nb gets the build used against him but 90% of the time. If I catch you alone.....the only way your escaping me is a bloodspawn revive
