Group is Full - But You Got 6?

Why would a group leader tell another player the group is full when there's only 6 in the group? Is there some ideal formula to running small scale PvP in Cyro/IC with 6 as the magic number? Something with the heals, buffs, etc.? Or are they just trying to keep it low?

I usually run BGs where there's only 4 so I'm geniuinely curious.

Probably ever since they made certain skills cap out at 6 players that’s been the magic number for small groups.

Wasn't caps removed? Or was that just damage?

Just damage. Things like heals and purge only hit 6.

Maybe they just don’t want to group with you

This is a polite way of saying “You’re not right for our group”

Or they cap their group at 6 because they like to play in smaller numbers for coordination.
Or they don’t know you and don’t want to play with you.

Group is full is actually pretty polite granted the myriad of other ways they can tell you no.

So like, exactly what I said?

Yes exactly... there was supposed to be another quote.

LOL it wasn't me! Watched a clip of a "spin to win" crew and someone asked the guy in guild chat if he could join and he said the group was full.

So my guess is to keep heals/buffs limited to the 6 like said above. Thanks for the info guys.

Because 6+ sways from the realm of small scale into the realm of "ball group" and many players that enjoy playing solo or in groups of 2-5 dont enjoy a larger group where they feel their contributions aren't significant enough to really matter.

I think you're looking a little to deep into it. The AP gain bonus caps at 5 players, so there's always that to think about.

A lot of smallscale guilds have been actively competing in 6v6 gvg events lately. It may have something to do with that growing scene. They may be capping out at 6 open world to get more experience working together at that size.
