A lot of people aren't playing that much or have left the game for a break or quit.
The only way this type of Auction House would run reliably is if Zenimax would run it. That way they can update the AH more often. It wouldn't be the players doing the updating.
But the main problem I see is a lot of players just aren't logging in. My Guild stores just aren't selling anything, when a lot of players are in game playing you see items moving fast, right now there just isn't people playing. At least on PC NA is how I see it. Heck, my Guilds are pleading with players to buy tickets to raffles just to get money into the guild, so they can buy a Guild trader.
Maybe it's because school started up again.
you know... I have to wonder about this. becasue I'm selling like hotcakes on PC NA (mats sell in minutes, random furnishing blueprints and motifs can take a few hours to a day or two, which is expected. I still have to replenish listings daily). yes, the guild I'm in is also asking for raffle participation, but that's becasue competition for our trader location is very VERY fierce and trader fees are THAT expensive.
but the interesting thing is.. I'm also selling fairly well in my non trading guild that just happens to keep one of those middle of nowhere traders most of the weeks.
so my theory is... assuming that your guild is in a high traffic location - your trading guild guildies are habitually overpricing things compared to normal market values, so people who shop often, remember that and stop checking your guilds trader, becasue its a waste of time. or even if they ARE still checking the trader, they are not buying, cause prices are too high compared to other traders.
I guess I could agree with you, BUT. Bet you knew a BUT was coming. Other than my main Guild (Grievance) I have replaced the other 4 (more than once, but a few times) and get same results. Yet, all 5 Guilds act like no one is playing, other than a few people. Which is why the revolving Guilds are doing the same, asking for raffle gold to attempt to keep Guild Traders alive.
So maybe you could let us players on PC NA the names of Guilds you are in that have major positive selling so the rest of us can too.
I still believe to get a fair AH, Zenimax needs to be running the AH. Not only so updating is more reliable but also concerning security or cheating issues.

Uh, cause somebody probably showed up and purchased the item, beating you to the punch?(Looking for target dummy recipe)
I was simply not using TTC because it was unreliable and didn't update in real time, but now I have to actively discourage people from using it since there are so many false listings intended only to get them on the web site, then price hike (bait & switch, basically).
Over 5 pages listed for 50-60k, but I've been to all the traders in all the cities listed on those pages and most don't have the item at all; the ones that do are 100-150k each.
Save yourselves the headache and disappointment, skip TTC.
This, TTC has two uses one is to get an price estimate on rarer stuff with few or none items in guild stores or even master merchant making it easy to get an price estimate.MLGProPlayer wrote: »This thread is fake news. Don't listen to OP.
TTC is an incredible time saver and arguably the best community tool in this game. OP is just salty that someone else bought the good deal first.
Whenever you search on TTC, make sure to filter by "last seen". It greatly increases the likelihood of you finding the item when you get to the trader.
You can go ahead and spend 2 hours searching for an item manually across Tamriel or you can find it in 5 minutes with TTC. The choice is yours.

No, even better. He realised that he was searcing for the dummy itself and not the recipe. Dummies do go for 50-60k on both servers. You will not find a recipe under 90k.
You're both wrong.
Care to show me a target dummy praxis listing for 50-60k?
I double-checked it, and it turns out you were right. My apologies and thanks.
Please consider changing the opening post then, to indicate that your entire rant was based on a misunderstanding and user error, and not any failure of TTC.
It still has yet to help me find something I was looking for, at the listed price, when I looked for it. I still won't endorse it.
Yikes... doubling down despite you being the one at fault in the end... You could at least add in that you screwed up with the original search, you know. Nothing to be ashamed about. We've all done that at first, or at some point in time.
Regardless, TTC has been a massive time saver for me once I learned how to properly utilize it. Couldn't recommend it enough
TTC has saved me SO MUCH TIME searching for stuff so....

MM shows actual sales data, but it's only based off of sales from guilds you're in, so depending on which guilds people are a part of, MM data/prices can be and usually are wildly different.
Both of these hiccups contribute to the price warriors in zone chat saying "WELL ACKSHYUALLY, the price for x item is THIS" even though you may be doing a WTS in zone chat that lines up just fine with the MM/TTC data you have.

See where I think it is costing me and a lot of others gold. It is getting to where the 5 Guild option in the game really isn't very important right now. I can't keep changing Guilds just to try and find the right ones that could start making me gold again.
Maybe if we could get the addon author to let us know the five Guilds he uses. This shouldn't be all about finding what we need to buy, but the selling is the big issue going on here.
For me, there is just no reason for me to play the game anymore if I can't make Gold like I would before this addon was allowed.
I love the game and for the first time playing, I can honestly say there is just no reason for me to keep supporting and playing it any longer. 😢

I'll be honest and say I have zero idea what you're talking about
In my experience it's very hit or miss with a stronger emphasis on miss. I'm not in any trading guilds and I don't shop very often. More often than not the item is no longer there at multiple locations. It can be useful sure but overall it's best to just check traders you're nearby before porting all over Tamriel.

Okay, the simple answer is, we don't need the 5 Guild setup anymore. Just use TTC to only find what you need to buy at the cheapest price. Right now it's impossible to scan all Guilds to see what you should be pricing items for. Which if you don't do a complete scan of ALL Guilds you will never be able to post items to sell at a faster pace. Because the majority of players just use TTC to buy the cheapest price they can get. So it affects how you can make GOLD from the items you put up for sale.
We need to be able to scan the whole market if TTC is allowed to stay in the game. If they take TTC out then most players will stick more with their 5 Guild setup.
Get it now???

The relies on TTC being dependable and up to date in real time. It isn't. However, trade guilds aren't the only reason to have more than one guild, so even if I agreed with your premise, I disagree with your conclusion.

You're doing it wrong. Don't filter by price...filter by time and find the lowest in the last 30 minutes. If it looks like a steal then likely someone else felt the same way...
Edit: Maybe I'm doing it wrong. How did I necro this thread when i found it in recent discussions?
