I was simply not using TTC because it was unreliable and didn't update in real time, but now I have to actively discourage people from using it since there are so many false listings intended only to get them on the web site, then price hike (bait & switch, basically).
Over 5 pages listed for 50-60k, but I've been to all the traders in all the cities listed on those pages and most don't have the item at all; the ones that do are 100-150k each.
Save yourselves the headache and disappointment, skip TTC.

No, even better. He realised that he was searcing for the dummy itself and not the recipe. Dummies do go for 50-60k on both servers. You will not find a recipe under 90k.
You're both wrong.
Care to show me a target dummy praxis listing for 50-60k?
I double-checked it, and it turns out you were right. My apologies and thanks.

Please consider changing the opening post then, to indicate that your entire rant was based on a misunderstanding and user error, and not any failure of TTC.

Use the tool, don't let it use you.

@Linaleah
I did read it, and no it doesn't.

A lot of people aren't playing that much or have left the game for a break or quit.
The only way this type of Auction House would run reliably is if Zenimax would run it. That way they can update the AH more often. It wouldn't be the players doing the updating.
But the main problem I see is a lot of players just aren't logging in. My Guild stores just aren't selling anything, when a lot of players are in game playing you see items moving fast, right now there just isn't people playing. At least on PC NA is how I see it. Heck, my Guilds are pleading with players to buy tickets to raffles just to get money into the guild, so they can buy a Guild trader.
Maybe it's because school started up again.

you know... I have to wonder about this. becasue I'm selling like hotcakes on PC NA (mats sell in minutes, random furnishing blueprints and motifs can take a few hours to a day or two, which is expected. I still have to replenish listings daily). yes, the guild I'm in is also asking for raffle participation, but that's becasue competition for our trader location is very VERY fierce and trader fees are THAT expensive.
but the interesting thing is.. I'm also selling fairly well in my non trading guild that just happens to keep one of those middle of nowhere traders most of the weeks.
so my theory is... assuming that your guild is in a high traffic location - your trading guild guildies are habitually overpricing things compared to normal market values, so people who shop often, remember that and stop checking your guilds trader, becasue its a waste of time. or even if they ARE still checking the trader, they are not buying, cause prices are too high compared to other traders.
I'm tempted to only partially agree with that theory. People shop from the high-traffic traders in cities when they're convenient (which is why the bids are so high). But it's TTC and it's advertising of 'hey, this out of the way trader in the middle of nowhere had that item you want an hour ago' (or the resellers if it's well priced) that means the low-traffic traders still make sales.you know... Have to ask, are you in 5 Guilds or none and just use TTC as your only buying search engine? Buying and selling are two different issues in the game.

I'm in no trading guilds and only use the site occasionally to help me buy something specific. I happily yield judgement on the site to those who use it extensively for setting prices and such. That's why I simply relayed my own limited happy experience with it.

It still has yet to help me find something I was looking for, at the listed price, when I looked for it. I still won't endorse it.
