If the IC event has been a success what were the criteria?

The event has either been a success or a failure.

If it has been a success then what were the criteria that needed to be fulfilled to make it so?

How can it be a failure ? It can be a failure for indiviuals, because they weren't as successfull as hoped. But in general, logic demands that it can't be a failure.

It's IC as it always is, just with double loot. And this DLC is definately not a failure.

Imperial City functioned exactly as intended, so yeah.

The only failure was the flub with the new campaigns not awarding Emperorship properly.

I did not say it was a failure. I asked what the criteria for success were.

What constitutes success for this event?

Many players earned a lot of gold, others had good pvp fights and some had the chance to get their hands on this DLC for a very low price.

And calling this an event is a bit too much. It's just double loot and there is nothing else added to it. It's IC as always, just with twice the gain.

If its either a failure or a success, as you said, and you won't say its a failure, then it must be a success...

I'm not sure what you want.

ZOS isn't going to call any event a failure. Duh.

Generally speaking, these events bring players back to old content. Judging by the forum threads complaining about having to PVP in the IC and the zergs at Molag Bal, people came. Maybe not as many as previous year, but we had more campaigns and some attrition is to be expected.

These events also sell the old content at a discount. ZOS doesnt typically release this info, so good luck there.

And as for working as intended, well, Imperial City did, with the exception of the Cyrodiil side of the new campaigns. So unlike the Random Dungeon Event, this event actually went pretty well for ZOS on the technical front.

What criteria are you looking for? Because, again, ZOS isn't going to call any event a failure for obvious reasons.

Not sure there is an objective answer for you as it seems to be a subjective subject.

So i might be tempted to say its a false dichotomy.

I think inductivley you can say that if your criteria is lots of people in there its a faliure. My criteria is about losing telvar and the telvar box rewards are too low .

I think ultimately we can say what we like and dont like etx.
Zos would have to set some goals for event and or critera and then we could judge more objectively.
Someone else might like x and therefore its not not a faliure.

This wasn’t even the first time the event has happened so by that fact yes it has been a success.

I played in IC every day during the event.

I finished the story on 3-4 characters
I made a bunch of gold just from drops,
I got a lot of Telvar, finally finished getting the housing storage crates
I got a skin and about 20 scamps from Molag
I killed a few players, died a few times
It was good, I had fun and would do again

If you measure by tel var acquired - resounding success.

If even one player received double drops doing an activity within the confines of the Imperial City DLC...then for ZoS...it is a success, since that is what the whole point was for the event...

I propose a monthly or bi monthly double tel var event lasting only a few days, instead of the 11 that this one did.

This event wasn't bad, more people came to IC which is a plus, but I think my idea would bring a ton more ppl there in the long run.

    Criteria?

    Hmm

Maybe enough complaints and salty whiney posts from PvE peeps getting lit up in IC :p>:)
