Personally i don’t like the champion points system. I think it’s counterproductive to the developers too, due to , that system can discourage new players to get to their main aim in every MMO: “To be max level”.
(Yes i know, world scales at your level, you really need cp160 for your gear.. and bla.. bla.. bla..)
So i’ve got some suggestions about how it can be reworked without affecting actually endgame players that have golden their fantastic endgame gear!
First of all i would like to see something like the veteran ranks again. they was awesome, they was only 16, hard to get but less numbers gives the illusion to be close to the edge.
Suppose for example to be back at VR16;
We will all have gear VR16. So, what about next patches and Dlcs? Let’s suppose we go back at One tamriel patch.
Now let’s suppose it comes out a new dlc, a dungeon one, more difficult. Imagine they add a VR17! What a shame! I was full golden last week! Now i have to rework on all my gear and grind a new one at VR17!
That’s the point, the developers can introduce a new system that permit to Upgrade your gear by level. Imagine we have got a voidstone gear, it will require rubedite ingots to be upgraded to the next level, keeping the quality of the actually gear.
It will encourage new players too, that can grow up with their own preferred gear and get to the endgame with the playstyle they really know and have mastered!
If the developers should have done this after one tamriel, maybe today we should be something like VR25. See? They looks not much to gain! They are only 25 past level 50! And no one can complain to farm again their gear due it’s upgradable at the next level.
About The substitution of cp with again Veteran ranks. They can add a pack of perks every veteran level.
For example: I’m actually VR16, i get VR17, i can choose between 3 packs: blue, green, red, that gives me 10 points more on respectively: damage,resources,defenses.
(Someone but not me have to study better this, but i think it’s absolutely doable)
I’ve decided to write this post, just because i was explaining to a friend of mine, how ESO leveling system works, when he asked me how many levels ther me was, i’ve told him there was: 50 main levels + 780 cp but when you hit 160cp you can equip your max game gear. He have just laughed, as an experienced mmo player, he told me “But, tell me something, it’s still BETA this game?” (Reference to ESO) why i asked? He answered me, it looks pretty incomplete that at 160cp you can have endgame game game gear but you aren’t really leaderboard competitive if not 780, it’s more than the quadruple amount of cp!
The CP system and the equipment level system, sounds strange, weird, incomplete to new players, that’s why i want to discuss with the community what is it’s suggestion about our system.
