Don't like PVP in general

Not a fan of PvP in general, or the combat systems here. I've never touched Cyrodiil or IC, and probably never will. I've had a little fun venturing into GW2's WvW, however.

Don't like loving Telvar

When I do PvE, I want to do PvE. When I do PvP, I want to do PvP.
It's not that I hate losing against a better player. I dislike that the zone pits my PvE char against specialised PvP chars. (Or vice versa, though it's not as bad due to PvE mobs being generally quite easy.) It doesn't even try to pretend to be a fair fight. People playing IC PvP are, in my experience, mostly players farming PvEers. That's not what I think PvP should be about.

after i consume DLC/CHAPTERS/HOLIDAY content i'm usually in there, i think its the best part of the game...

All my characters are geared and set up for PVE not PVP.
I do not have champion points in the pvp skills, do not have the pvp morphs or other skills, do not have PVP gear.

If there was some way to switch between two builds then I would. otherwise my characters would be just free kills.

in regards to this particular IC event - there are bunches of players from each alliance that are primarily focused on simply farming tel var...

I know, because I'm one of them and I've come across a lot of other players from other alliances intent on simply questing and farming...

Going to the area alone is too much of a hassle for the little reward you get in there, especially if your alliance is losing in Cyrodiil and you have ride from your base. I do PVP more than PVE and I think it is the most pointless zone in the game right now.

Don't like PVP in general

It's not that I dislike PVP, its that I dislike THIS games PVP. There is little to no counterplay to anything in an environment of instant proc sets, terrible optimization and framerates, and hundreds of builds design to completely negate the possibility of any counterplay existing. Most of the builds out there are literally designed to kill you as fast as they can with as little movement as possible so there is no chance for a reaction. Animation cancelling & "macro slicing"? How do you counterplay something you never get to see because of an unintended bug someone decided should be left in? What is the counterplay to 40 enemies barreling towards you flinging around impulse and steel tornado? Another 40 to fight them with? Then the fps dips to 5 and nobody wins. Meanwhile devs flip flop us back and forth to different setups with constant nerfing like they don't know what to do with our skills just to sate the loudest criers. That.. or they're artificially extending the shelf life of the current content by making what we worked to achieve less than par, not sure which is worse. Seriously what is fun about any of that?

IMO ESO would be a far better game if someone just hit the delete key on Cyrodil, and gods forbid.. we might get some kind of balance between classes without all of the incessant whining about skills that are supposed to set them apart.

I go there when the mood strikes me

I don't really have much of a reason to go there. My PvP toons have completed the main quest, and there's not a ton I need Tel Var or key fragments for, so... meh. But when the mood strikes me I'll go wandering in with some friends. Selling key fragments on guild traders is quite lucrative, so it's worth it just for that.

Zero interest in setting foot there during the IC event, though.

For me i don't like this pve in pvp, cause in fact i neen in IC only skyshards for my 15 chars and maybe fishing, plus other achievements that i'll make some day, but with all pvp-gankers it's too long to do, except mana nb chars with cloak to skip mobs and gankers.

I voted 'when the mood strikes me'. Really IC seems to bring out the worst in me, I view it as exposure therapy. It does kinda work, last night I lost 25 k telvar to getting knocked below the floor (bug) and needing to /stuck 50 m from the base. I just laughed it off.

It can be slightly fun but it is also toxic, too many invulnerables with earthgore+unresponsive cc burst, and really not much of a reward. The pvp is pointless for me, and i have so many key fragments... also xp is pointless with maxed CP.. that being said, you can buy nice things for telvar and you get lots of decon gear, but ill really usually only farm for awhile in the morning if its empty and my alliance owns the place. Then ill farm when eating breakfast and listen to a podcast or something. If i get ganked ill usually just shrug it off. Still, with invisi pots it is kinda unusual for me to get ganked.

i just want to do those 7 story quests and fight molag bal.
it is the ONLY content my main has not experienced, and it will remain as such since they locked out MY PEOPLE (pve players) from playing this area because of the pvp element that literally no one cares about.

Interesting argument. You want to deprive a considerable portion of the player base of the activity they enjoy the most, simply because you personally do not like it.

I’m not a huge fan of running dungeons I’ve run hundreds of times just to get the gear drops I want. Shall we hit the delete key on dungeons too, just because I don’t like them?

Hmm. I seriously doubt that's veracious. A lot of people in this game care about pvp. I'm not one of them, but the number who are of the pvp persuasion is FAR more than just a few.

For myself, having played on one of WoW's pvp servers for a while (nearly a year), I - just don't ever want to go there again. Then again, I don't care about the skyshards/lorebooks that are in Cyrodiil, I don't care about Molag Bal in the sewers, and I certainly don't care about fishing (I had my fill of fishing in WoW and RIFT; not going there again....)

Getting farmed for Tel Var. You spend an hour trying to collect Tel Var, you are on your way back, and some guy who hasn't put in the time nor effort goes and farms you. Suddenly all that investment you put into the game, stolen in a matter of seconds. Always a great feeling knowing that half of the hour spent was going to someone who had to do literally nothing but just wait.

Gee, I wish I could sit back and do nothing all the while ZoS was forced to give me half of their profit earned from ESO Plus Memberships. (Maybe a bit extreme of an example, but I can tell ya ZoS wouldn't be happy.)

So yeah, pretty boring and highly aggravating zone. And don't even get me started on the joke of its accessibility.

I just don't see it as rewarding enough. You have to grind for so long and it's basically pve at that point.

I like the lose Tel Var thing, but moving from the 80/20 to the 50/50 was stupid. 80 was too much to lose to a player, but 50 is too much to lose to an npc. That sets people off who are trying to have fun.

And once you get the Skin/Pet and beat Molag there is no other reason to come back into the sewers and I got the 3 polymorphs from opening the 1000 ( iirc ) random gear bags so I dont need the 250k

Tel Var was always supposed to be the main draw, along with the Tel Var Merchant. The flags added a way to get some small scale PVP (not always) and AP, but the Tel Var was the draw to both Imperial City and the Sewers.

I'm still sore because they screwed up their best chance to tie the PVP campaigns and PVE together in a way that would make those who mostly PvE see any good reason to go there on a regular basis.

If you played DAoC you would know why Darkness Falls worked there and why the IC doesn't here. If you didn't play it the TLDR is that it was characterized by a lot of PvP while searching for and evicting the previous faction that had control followed by a period of relative safety (some gankers could still be around) that those who mostly PvE found comfortable. Some of those PvErs even started PvPing as a result of the gentler introduction to it. It also had great rewards, generally better than what you could find elsewhere.

They missed the boat with this IC implementation so I'm still boycotting it

Don't need any of the sets, you make more money in ten minutes on a guild trader, and lets be honest - it's mostly a Nightblade party in there.
