I think one day we will all be lag free.

You play on a cell phone hotspot?! Brain-frying 5G isn't going to change the quality of, for example, my cable internet at home. If anything, it will further clog the ol' tubes with more pointless cell phone traffic of people watching Netflix as they walk down the street.
Each of the modern leaps in wireless network technology has brought distinct change: The second generation—aka 2G—allowed for voice transmission, 3G ushered in the app revolution, and 4G brought a drastic speed boost.
Now, the highly anticipated 5G wireless networks are expected to be powerful enough to bring us mass-market automated cars and real-time virtual reality, yet practical enough to replace wired home broadband.

I think one day we will all be lag free.

It was (still is?) popular to blame the lighting patch. But that patch was only slightly before the dye station patch (which is when I noticed significantly more lag in PVP.) Was the dye station info added to the clients, but not activated, at the lighting patch?

Will not happen. Companies at least in North America will find ways to throttle our internet service. Make us pay more for no reason.
