I've been through Reaper's March a few times now, and Dune being the final "epic" in the Questline, you're told by the Queen and surrounding NPCs that the city is ablaze and under assault by Daedra. Smoke billows into the sky alerting everyone near and far.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Could you forward this to the art department, or whoever works on map design? It would be really nice for the atmosphere of quests expressing situations such as this. Seeing large columns of smoke when riding up to Dune would've been great.

They did add erupting volcano on the background, and an ashstorm to several phases on the Vvardenfell main quest. Also they are individual effects, so other players don't see this.
