What you LIKE about ESO

Always a lot of negativity and people bashing ZOS. So I'll start a thread and name some things I like about ESO. Heres just a few off the top of my head:
  • Not level gated anymore
  • Dungeon, Trial, Monster sets are account bound and not character bound (can you imagine?)
  • The community overall is awesome
  • You can clear majority of content playing how you like and using non-Meta builds
  • Transmute system

I like seeing toons reading their maps so you know their real life player is looking at the map. It's a small detail but kind of neat that they took the time to program.

I absolutely love new areas to explore and new quests to do. I love anything I can do solo since mostly I don't team up with others. But I also love Cyro. I may not legit group up but I do try to be where I am needed and assist with what needs to be done and I always have so much fun. I'm learning to love doing my writs because the end result is piles of gold. I do really like to play with friends, it just doesn't happen too often that we get online at the same times. I also love AD Cyro zone chat, not only have I picked up a lot from people but I am rather fond of many of the regular chatty players.

@mommadani907 I was suprised to find out Cyro isn't actually a bad place. I went there the other day during off peak times and I came across a DC player that just melted me. He then whispered and asked if I was new, said he isn't in the business of killing new players and explained that most people duel around that time. He also said if he sees me around he will let me kill NPCs (I was trying to capture a farm at the time) before engaging so at least it would just be a 1v1.

One Tamriel has allowed me to do quests and areas in the order I choose to do them and that's a big +1 in my book. Now I don't have to overlap questing with my alts and am always doing something new while still levelling my CP across all characters.

Outfit system is a great addition to allowing my characters to look the way I want them to. It isn't a perfect system but I appreciate the available options.

The beautiful world design. Every once in a while out riding somewhere I come across a wonderful bit of scenery, very pleasant.

Interesting boss combat design. Some games just do tank and spank bosses. ESO has a good combination of tank and spank and other mechanics. The addition of more mechanics for HM in the last few dungeons released (Fang Lair and SCP, for example) has made those dungeons an interesting experience to revisit without being too bored with repetitiveness. I would support this going forward.

The flavour design of classes and subtle additions of different guild skill lines into the mix. Makes for a "build your own character" scenario which I love. My StamSorc tank has a unique build which I am sure nobody else has and the fact that I can play a magicka/mage flavoured class and still tank with it in an mmo makes the game for me. I have started to hate the static class design that WoW and SWTOR have reverted back to over the years and ESO will overtake them if it balances itself correctly. I believe players want flexibility and it provides that almost perfectly, just needs a better balance.

The housing and editing of makes me feel like my character has a home, his own place to chillax. I don't spend there more than a few minutes a day because I mainly use it as a free travel hub but its still nice having a place of my own which is separate from the game while still being in-game. Great addition. More homes are needed in the capitals because only the snugpod fits all my requirements as far as price+location are concerned. I want access to a shrine, crafting , guild traders and undaunted. The other capitals houses are too expensive and out of the way.

The combat system. Back in the day I felt that the combat was lacklustre with only a few abilities. Now I've come to love the fluidity of it all. A combination of light attack, heavy attack, block, bash, dodge, reflect, ability, ultimate, weapon swapping, 3rd bar access, transformations, buffs, debuffs, snares, roots, sprinting, sneaking, stunning, against the numerous enemy mechanics is an absolute joy and I'm still getting a hang of it all! Some abilities are overused such as taunt for tanking and dodge for PvP but the full package is really a phenomenal delivery. Of course there are bugs and balance issues but the concept overall is awesome.

I agree, it is a really neat detail. I'm a dps toon and honestly am just so bad at knowing where to go in a dungeon, even one I've done 100 times. It relieves me to see people checking the map too every now and then. :D:D
I have some characters, play the game and do stuff. It's fun sometimes.

    I like killing, PvP/PvE.
I like a lot of things about this game, but most of all I like how I always find something new to do. I've been playing just over a year and haven't become bored yet.

Also, I just adopted this cat from a rescue a couple of weeks ago, and she absolutely loves watching this game. She's now my ESO buddy.

    Good on you, thats ace.

My cats like doing that too, think it is because they want Dreamies every 5 mins, so that makes me suspicious of their intentions hehe.

I like seeing toons reading their maps so you know their real life player is looking at the map. It's a small detail but kind of neat that they took the time to program.

And when you are looking at your skills, your toon equips a book and looks like he/she is reading.

Crown store is a chest, and inventory is a bag for regular players and a special crafting bag for ESO+.

They need one for trading with other players. Would be a QoL improvement if anything.

I like a lot of things about ESO.
I like its a game that has connections to TES series.
I like that there are some really good quest lines.
I like that we get to see so many zones in ESO, only Arena gave us chance to travel this much on Tamriel.
I like that we get 4 updates every year and I gladly subscribe to ESO+

I really like how when I go into an area I always feel like I can be surprised. Finding a soul gem just lying on a table, or a furnishing design in a satchel, or a thieves trove hidden up in cranny. It's always an adventure.
