How do I switch from physical to digital?

I have the Morrowind physical edition and I bought the Summerset digital upgrade. My PS4 is having issues with the disc player sometimes. I know I need to delete the game from my PS4 first, but what edition do I buy on the store. Do I just buy the 19.99 version and then log in to my account and it will download everything. I have eso plus.

I swear I just commented on this, Unless you remade the post lol. PS4 here - You have to delete your current physical copy from your console, purchase the digital edition and reinstall from PS store. All your progress and content is safe on ESO Servers :)

Since you have the upgrade, try going to the PSN store and downloading it from there. This is typically what I do for my ESO when I want to do a clean install/fresh patch is just reinstall using the store.

My Ps4 has been doing the same. I googled it and its a common issue. Tighten the screw on the side between the vent/gaps and I also removed the rubber piece underneath the ps4, where the disc eject button sits. It hasn't ejected my disc in the past 4 days (fingers crossed). Not a perfect solution, but good luck.

If at all possible I would switch to a non Steam PC version.

I agree, stay away from the steam version if at all possible.

I’d like to know this for Xbox as well! I know several folks having disc issues after several years playing.

Oh btw, sorry forgot to mention, the 'Libraries' section on the main PS4 menu also has a quicker way to get to it.

Press the PS button, Press right on the D-Pad, click on Libraries, and you can sort through your paid games and reinstall through there.

That's exactly what I did last night, which got me to thinking about just going all digital from now on!

I have pretty fast internet now, so If it just costs me 20 bucks to buy ESO again I can just download all the updates and not have to worry about it again. I will also check in to doing this with Destiny 2.

    Thanks for the reply!
