Burning Spellweave Inferno Staff

Hi,
Does anyone have any advice on how to best utilize champion points for the burning spellweave inferno staff? After hearing people rave about it and how rare it is, I did veteran City of Ash about 42 times before finally getting five pieces of gear, purple jewelry, lightning staff, and the inferno staff. In about a month I've rarely used it but have it as my backup weapon because it causes very little damage. Right now I'm 655 and have 23 on elfborn, 75 on elemental expert, 25 on staff expert, 23 on master at arms, and 72 on thaumaturge. All my gear is legendary except for jewelry and all have legendary glyphs (mostly magicka and spell damage). My gear is spellweave, grothdarr, and julianos with divines. I'm a dragonknight.

md3788✭✭✭I don't understand how it causes very little damage? The BSW inferno staff is sought after because BSW is a very good set, and you can use it on your front bar only and still have great uptime. That leaves room for a vMA back bar and a full body set such as siroria. For a MagDK, BSW and Siroria is BiS in most situations. I recommend 3 BSW jewelry, BSW front bar for your first 5 piece set. Your second 5 piece set you can keep Julianos or go for Siroria for the most damage. Silks of the sun is also a great 5 piece to use in place of Julianos/SiroriavFG1 HM0

✭✭✭✭✭As stated, any good raid build will have CP. My advice is to not overthink your damage CP. It is very front loaded. At first glance, you have a bit two much into Elemental and Thaum, not enough into elfborn, and obviously not enough into Master at Arms or Spell Erosion. I would get at least 40 into the big 4 (elemental, Thaum, Elborn, Master at arms), at least 20 in spell erosion, and probably somewhere in the teens for staff expert. Thaum and elemental will likely be a bit higher priority because of DK flame and dot damage, but you dont want to over look Elborn and MaA.
Make sure you pay attention to jump points. With blue CP, the game always rounds down to the whole number. So say you have a 15% boost Elemental expert, and you add another point to get to 15.2 (sure these numbers arent right, just illustrating a point), that was a wasted CP point. The one exception is spell erosion, which is just a flat penetration value. It's a great place to dump extra points if you cant get to the next whole number in a tree.1 -

Download the Constellations add-on. Do a parse. Import the parse into Constellations. Let it optimize your CP. Do another parse, repeat until you're happy.0
