What do you listen to when playing?

Title pretty much sums it up.

I'd like to know what you all listen to while playing :) Is it the in-game music(which is amazing)or do you have your own playlist?

When doing PVE I listen to the in-game music, but since I suck at PVP I turn on some Sabaton to get me hyped up. Also hypes up my history lover side :)

Depends on how concentrated I need to be. When I’m doing quests, I usually put some relaxing music from random playlists on youtube. If I’m fishing, I listen(or watch, with my phone) to some top 10’s from channels I like, so I don’t get very bored and I can focus on something else.
If I need to get hyped(weekly vMA/Battlegrounds)I make a playlist with soundtracks from games I’ve played in the past, usually final bosses music and such.
I don’t listen to in-game music anymore, but I agree it’s good. I really like Imperial City boss battle theme.

I usually listen to Netflix or Hulu. Something I have seen before, usually funny. Currently on a rewatch of It's Always Sunny. Listening to it while I play.

Just the game music, but I have it down low. I have hearing loss issues from serving in the military so I need background music low so I can hear dialog.

Our guild has a discord DJ (actually, several) and for guild events we get live tunes. In fact, I'm upgrading my headphones so I can listen wirelessly while getting in-game audio. So currently, I can mute my mic and have discord blasting away or I can listen to the in-game music and use my mic. For regular running around on non-event nights, I enjoy the music of Tamriel, including the Best Bard in Alinor (between stables and market). I've caught myself several times running by and hear a new song and run over and sit in the little cantina area and listen to the bard. Love the bards!!! Wish I could buy one for my house.

I have always loved the TES soundtracks and have play them in my car for roadtrips.

However, not sure why, maybe cuz I am old and falling apart, no matter how low I set the music levels in games, it drowns out ambient sounds and NPC voices.

So to answer your questions, I listen to the ambient, combat and NPC sounds.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

It is definitely a balancing act. I have my music on the low end of the spectrum that's for sure.

    Depends.

If I’m PVPing, no music whatsoever so I can hear voice comms with no distractions.

If I’m PVEing, just the base game music.

If I’m farming crafting mats or grinding anything, audiobooks to keep me from falling asleep.

As always with any game, whether online or offline, I listen to the game's audio - through surround-sound speakers, and without any distractions such as voice chat. If I'm going to enjoy playing a game then the ingame music and voiceovers are always going to be a critical part of that enjoyment.

Sometimes I'll listen to the in-game music or Anime OSTs on Spotify. Which depends on what is going on around me.

Unless I'm just doing dailies and other housekeeping (in which case I often leave the computer muted), I have the game audio on while I play.

When actually playing the game with immersion in mind (questing, dungeons, etc.) I listen to the game audio. When I'm doing surveys or mat farming or something, I'll typically mute the game and listen to podcasts in the background.

Nothing when actually playing the game.

When farming, I listen to whatever I feel like. Usually a long techno mix, something like this.
