    Hi all,

Just wanted to say thank you to all who helped with build ideas.

Ioan went with a templer, he is very much enjoying it. I went with a pet sorc.

He has done lots in game and has even completed a vetern dungeon. But basically he really loves this game ( I do too now), and I just wanted to say thank you.

That is amazing! Glad you guys are enjoying the game!

My own lazy mode build: Magplar with monster set Iceheart (gain damage shield when damaged) + puncturing sweeps = immortality.
Structured Entropy (for Major sorcery + 8% max health), Reflective Light (minor sorcery, great aoe damage), Puncturing Sweeps are the only 3 abilities i use then i also slot Inner Light for max magika and Repentance (or the other morph) not to use but just to gain + 10% recovery in everything . 1 bar, 3 abilities, pretty much immortal in overland. Meteor as ulti when fighting tougher bosses.
Juliannos + Mother Sorrow, Lightening Staff for the passive +8% in AoE damage (works well with Sweeps) - Infused, spell damage enchant.

Even my pet Magsorc is not as lazy as my Magplar, as i still need to weapon swap :p

Find a used elite controller..those were purposefully designed to be cudtomized..not only that..but they had people with disabilities in mind as well.

That way..you can pretty much create the controller to.fit his needs to play in a more normal fashion

Yeah, there are a few controllers designed for use with impaired motor function. One of those might be your best bet.

I know you both have already chosen your builds, but I actually have a build in the player guide section that might work out really well for your nephew.

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/400833/one-bar-easy-vma-magsorc-build-updated-for-summerset-no-trial-monster-set-maelstrom-weapon-needed/p1

It was built with vMA in mind and doesn't require bar swapping or animation cancelling and the sets are fairly easy to obtain. It's easy to maintain 19k DPS with very minimal effort and I've used it in all vet dungeons and a few vet DLC dungeons.

I know he chose a templar, but maybe when he gets bored of that this could be his next character.

    edit

Also note that this build is most effective with a high elf so he might like that. It is also a heavy attack build which means minimal button presses.

@Soella mentioned it in a previous post.

I also regularly reply in that thread so if you need help with the build or understanding it, I'm always available to give advice.

They need to consider this more with new content.
They keep adding more enemy tricks that are more difficult to content that should be inclusive and easy, like the silences since clockwork city that every enemy seems to have.

We shouldn't need to block and break free with normal enemies. That should be reserved for bosses and dungeons/trials, not normal story quests or outdoor content.

Not everyone can use all the buttons on a keyboard or a gamepad or as easily as others if they can.

Iceheart is 20% chance when you critical hit the enemy to give you a damage shield. That's not the way you said it works.

Xbox is supposed to release an adaptive controller for players with disabilities. It has foot pedal options.

Yes, just websearch "xbox adaptive controller", one of the links leads to: https://news.microsoft.com/en-gb/2018/05/17/xbox-adaptive-controller-welcomed-by-uk-charities-and-gamers-with-disabilities/
A new Xbox and Windows 10 controller that lets people with disabilities plug in the assistive aids they already own to play games has been welcomed by charities in the UK.

The Xbox Adaptive Controller allows those with limited mobility to use their own buttons, joysticks and switches to mimic a standard controller, so they can play any videogame.

This allows them to choose which assistive aid will make the character jump, run or shoot, for example, without relying on pressing specific buttons on the controller that came with the Xbox.

The device has delighted charities and gamers with disabilities, who say it will help them continue to enjoy something they love as well as connect with other people and be more independent.

This hasn’t been mentioned yet, but you can change the button layout. Moves the bar swap to hold Y button down. This might help him out a bit if wanting another bar.

Or pressing down on right thumb stick, even better imo

    You're right, my mistake, sorry!*
Anyway, with Julianos and Mother Sorrow it's up on cooldown so it works really well. Of course the shield goes down but Sweeps keeps you alive until it's back up.

I know I'm basically repeating what everyone else said but pet sorc is a huge win. When I run vMA I don't even bar swap - slot (Blockade of Elements | Hardened Ward | Liquid Lightning | Volatile Familiar | Power Surge). Make sure hardened ward is easily accessible (x or y) and do Blockade of Elements -> Liquid Lightning -> Heavy Attack as a rotation. 90% of the game's content is available with this set up :)

On a side note: great for you to help your nephew get into this game! I'm warmed by both your effort and the number of replies to this thread.
