New weapon skills

Hey all,

I've been playing for quite some time and one thing I feel that is really needed are some new weapon types. I think it would be a breath of fresh air. New guild skill line like Psijiic Order definitely helps this, but I really think it is high time for a couple new weapon skill lines.

In hopes that as much discussion about this is seen by the ZOS development team, what are some of your favorites to be added? For me (and I've seen this one requested many times)would be spears/lances/javelins.

    Well...
    Wand - magicka 1 hand weapon. Can be paired with another wand (to increase damage output to the staves lvl) or with shield (to increase defense). For skill-line counts only main-hand wand, off-hand doesn't grant additional skills. Skill-line is a mix of offensive and defensive skills and passives.

    Spear - 2h melee stamina weapon. Kinda bow analogue, but in the melee range. Passives can grant additional evasion and armor pen.
    Or add spears to the existing 2h line

    Crossbow - stamina mid-range weapon. Has nearly no AOE and DOTs, but stronger ST skills. Max range is 20. Passives to armor pen.
    Or add crossbows to the existing Bow line

    Claw - melee 2w stamina weapon. Has passives to the bleed dmg and atk speed. This is always 2w weapon, unlike current 2w.
    Or add claws to the existing 2w line

    Spears should be the equivalent of daggers in two handed skill line. Add crit chance when slotted, with more range and less base damage.

    That actually isn't a bad baseline thought for a foundation in which to build a spear weapon skill line.

    - Spears, two handed melee weapons with a bit longer range than regular melee weapons

    - Onehand and rune, melee magicka weapon, spellsword style B) / maybe some hybrid function depending on the
    enchantment or poison equipped on this weapon <3

    - Alterationstaves, ranged support/mag tank weapon

    - Froststaves, rework for dps since Alterationstaves would take the mag tank spot, maybe give them a critdamage
    theme like lightning got AoE and fire got Singletarged

    - crossbows maybe ?!

    just some ideas i had in my head since i leveled up my first ever made character back in 2014 :D

    More weapon lines would be fun. I would like more stamina ranged support and more magicka melee support.

    Javelins could be another stamina ranged weapon, would offer a different back bar support for characters still wanting to do melee. And would offer an additional pairing for characters trying to build on range.

    Magicka could get Wands, or Tomes which could also be used to conjure elemental forms of existing weapons.

    Overall though more diversity should be encouraged not less. The game is vibrant not when everyone is playing the same class/skill combination, but rather when there are a thriving assortment of playstyles and gameplay options. Diverse options draws more players to the game.

    I'd like to see melee range magicka weapons, for us hipsters still using Dks and Templars in trials.
    Conjured weapon is a good idea I think.

    One hand/rune would be oh so awesome. I really, really hope the next chapter brings another weapon skill line. I almost feel like if they are going to bring some new ones in though it should be two of them.
