Unstable Clannfear -- magicka cost question

I recently regeared my Stamsorc into a Sorc tank with the clannfear pet. But with 13.9k magicka pool, I can only cast the clannfear heal twice before running out of magicka.

The tool tip cost is 3412 magicka and indeed 3.4k mag is consumed when first summoning it. But activating the ability again to heal costs double the resources. Is this normal or is this a bug? Thx!

No this is no bug. The self heal based on your maximum health is extremely expensive and has not the same costs as the summoning of the clanfear himself.

Is the cost increase indicated anywhere, like an inconspicuous line in a tooltip description? Or is it just understood to be double the summoning cost?

I never noticed Sorc pets cost so much to activate their skills.... Maybe the twilight matriarch heal increased cost isn't so noticeable on a max mag stacking Pet Sorc.

well the "Summon Clannfear" and "Clannfear Heal" abilities are technically different, so have different costs.

I believe you can check the cost of the pet ability while looking at in on your skill bar
