Get rid of RNG with Transmute Crystals?

Why are we forced to pvp and wait a week to a month for a decent amount of crystals?

Not sure if is just my RNG but I always get 1-2 tops 5 crystals and that's it, no matter what activity so I end up having to do pvp on alts and just soak up all the crystals at the end of the month.

Why not get rid of RNG with these crystals and give a flat rate? Like 10 for daily dungeon, 20 for trials etc. Why RNG on these? We already have RNG in pretty much everything else as well as gambling store crates....

We don't need RNG on these. Without the pvp method you could end up taking 30-50 days for 50 crystals of every day playing with bad luck RNG...

    Well that‘s how RNG is. At least there is a chance of a lucky strike. But if they make it flat, wanna bet the next thing to complain about would be the low amount? Because they certainly wouldn‘t increase the amount you can get by any significant number.

    Honestly a flat rate would be easier to understand. However I would imagine it's a way to stop flooding of crystals (having more low drops than high) without people kicking off they only get 1 crystal for each geode.

    RNG is already pretty close to flat rate. 2 per pledge, 5 per trial, 4 per RftW box. Sometimes you can get more if you are lucky.

    So you would rather just always get 2 crystals for a pledge, huh?

    I really dislike it when people say "forced to" do something, nobody is forcin you to do pvp, pve or anything in the game, in your case, you can farm the items in the wanted trait in pve if you dont like pvp, but you rather want the easy way, get the item, transmute it, and then do something else.

    So its because you want the best trait, the easy road, which is all on you, and what you want.

    It's already a flat rate of 4 when it comes to Rewards of the Worthy. Even if it says 4-25 it usually ends up with 4. Extremely rare drops of 5-10 only confirm it and I never got full 25.

    I'd like to see this as a fixed amount not RNG, as it leads to confusions or displeasure.

    I had the issue of not having enough of these transmute stones but soon realised that the game was flooding me with these geodes, while leveling another toon and doing PvP on other toons. I soon found my self hording these geodes in my toons inventory because I hit the cap of 200 stones. As I couldn't put the geodes in the bank, I was left with them on my toons, sitting in the inventory using up space.

    After a while I went as far as wasting the stones on transmutations, just to open up the geodes and freeing my inventory gain.

    Sometimes I'm lucky and get lots of these geodes and stones but sometimes I'm unlucky.

    Trials give a flat rate of 5 per clear, regardless of difficulty. Personally, I think this game is way too obsessed with RNG and would also like to just see a flat, constant rate for many things. It can be quite demoralising to put in all the effort only to result in 1 crystal.

    And why the cap on them? Just, why?

    I don't understand this RNG fascination at all in MMO's.

    I think stones are too easy to come by. Maybe they should do like jewelry crafting. Give stone shards, Then when you get 10 shards you can refine them into 1 stone.

    Yeah, almost always get 4 as well. Very few 5 or 10, and only once got 25 I think.
    I have RotW boxes stored in the inventory of multiple chars and I open one every day.

    At first I thought it was RNG for a random number between 4-25 but that obviously is not the case.

    The only people who CAN hoard them are PvPers, though. They earn at least six times the crystals that PvEers earn, easily, considering the daily quota they get plus the 50 at the end of the month. It's just an imbalance that needs to be fixed.

    No, it isn't. PvP players have to farm trials and dungeons etc. to get the gear they want. Then it's reasonable that PvE-players have to farm in PvP to get what they want. You get gear in PvE - you get materials to trait-change the gear in PvP. Seems about fair to me. Make every dungeon-set buyable with AP, and I agree with you that it's an imbalance. :#

    And honestly, to get 100k AP(Which you need for the Tier rewards, soyou qualify for the end of campaign rewards) takes a couple of hours at most.

    You do realize that the queue to get into the major Cyrodiil campaigns become longer because of PvEers wanting transmute crystals? But if you're ok with PvEers in Cyrodiil who don't want to be there, but are taking up space and creating longer queues to get in, then sure.

    My biggest problem is the storing of them, cant bank them, they dont stack, its a problem if you have loads unopened and at the max 200 limit.

    Allow them to stack at least if not be banked.

    It does not take much PvP to finish out the campaign tier rewards on a character. Just find a good zerg if you are not into or experienced with PvP.

    While you are doing that you are getting rewards for the worthy. Only open one per day and you will get more rewards and often more than a couple.

    You do realize that the queue to get into the major Cyrodiil campaigns become longer because of PvEers wanting transmute crystals? But if you're ok with PvEers in Cyrodiil who don't want to be there, but are taking up space and creating longer queues to get in, then sure.

    There's only the winning faction that has an endless queue. And I'm not sure on which platform you play, but on EU/PC we have 3 campaigns, whereas 2 of them are active every evening primetime, and only one side with a major queue. (More than ~15). Even go to the empty campaigns with some friends (Who, I'm guessing, from your disgust towards PvP) also want those crystals. Buy a few sieges and siege down keeps. You need to take ~4 keeps to get the 25k AP. Count in the repairs you can do with repair kits, and you need even less.

    Why are PvErs there if they don't want to be? Why aren't they running the dungeon to get the gear they want in the trait they want? AND get transmute crystals in the process.

    I have been getting 4 on gold and 10 on purple. Would have thought gold would give higher than purple.

    You can get transmute crystals from Vet dungeon bosses, Undaunted HM Vet dailies, vMA, weekly trials and the Daily Random Dungeon too. That's quite a few PVE options.

    Also, doing one daily random BG is usually enough to get your Rewards of the Worthy, so that's 15 minutes of PVP for a Gold Geode, without having to sprint around Cyro, plus if you come in at least 2nd as a team you get a bunch of xp to boot.

    I've been using random dungeons and bgs to level characters, then using the stones to transmute their 160 gear so it's ready for them when they hit CP.

    Keep in mind the old option was to farm the same content over and over until you got the trait you wanted. Now at least you can grind a variety of content while working toward the same goal.
    I have been getting 4 on gold and 10 on purple. Would have thought gold would give higher than purple.

    I believe purple goes from 2-10 and gold from 4-25. And the rng is heavily weighted toward the bottom. For gold I think it was something like

    4 - 85%
    5 - 10%
    10 - 4%
    25 - 1%

    But I can't recall where I read that. I would assume it would be similar for purple, so maybe you've been pretty lucky on those.

    I think they need to speed it up some.


    I think every boss in dungeons should drop a Uncracked Geode. Normal should be green geodes with the last boss being blue. On Vet all should be Blue and the last boss Purple. Then they should break down like the following.

    Green 1-3 Crystals
    Blue - 2-4 Crystals
    Purple 3-4 Crystals

    This would make more people want to use the Dungeon finder too probably cause you can run a lot of dungeons and farm the crystals but you aren't suddenly getting 5 every time either.

    Just seems little backwards.

    Do tons of pve content....get barely 10-20-30....

    Do a few hours pvp before campaign ends on multiple characters.... get hundreds...
