Sort of RL Crafting Issue (The tail won't fit in his butt!)

I am applying so much pressure that my hands are shaking and I can't seem to wiggle Molag Bal's Giger-esque tail into his arse. I see how it fits...but I can't get it in..not even a little (hush)..

Anyone having any issues? Did you have this problem and found a (non-breaking/modding) solution?

Well with some oil from my clippers and having Molag Bal face down across one knee and with some prayers to the nine divines I managed to get his tail MOSTLY in..there is like a 2/3mm gap where I can clearly see the flat part on all sides.

    Ha! This is so wrong.
Anyways, I have yet to get a statue but if I'm imagining it correctly, it's like a socket most of the jointed action figures have? Like my Halo ones? I do remember that the Reach Collectors thing had the same problem with one of the hands; the post just didn't fit into the socket.

This MIGHT be an extremely bad idea to those who are not careful. The way I fixed that issue was that I took my dremal and slowly shaved the socket to make it larger. Eventually I got it just wide enough to fit and push with force.
I guess if you're not careful, just use super glue in the socket? I mean, the tail isn't supposed to move so I guess it's no big deal...
I am NOT at fault if you do this and end up messing it up bad! Like I said, it might be a really bad idea but it did work for me once...with a different model of course...

He was also a bit difficult to get on the base...I had to spread his legs apart and he fought me a bit but I eventually mounted him.
