Stamblade optimals

Hi my fellow theorycrafters,

I stoped plaing ESO last october, week ago I returned as my friend and brother started to play. I surelly missed a couple of changes etc so I have few questions.

- As I am in more casual focused guild for now, I wont be getting my hands on perfect relequen set soon to pair with AY weapons and jewellery. Did anyone tested if this build is still worth doing with non-perfect parts? Or I should do better with something like AY/WM + 2fang combo?

- What are current penetration options, I've heard that sunderflame and NMG have been nerfed and nobody using them -> Lover is curently best M.stone to go with. What penetration complete vet raid group is offering? Major + Minor breach, I assume alkosh is still in use, what else? Or simply, what figure are nightblades heading to these days?

- As a Khajit I have alot more crit that Redguard who is best race for min-maxing stats, Isnt set like Advanced Yokeda beeing affected by diminishing returns? Same goes for daggers as a 1h weapons - would I be better with axe or sword in main/offhand?

On Khajiit specifically, I would suggest Briarheart over AY as you would already sit around 80% crit. Briarheart in optimized groups lets me hit over 7k weapon damage max, averaging around 5.5k.

1. Yes even normal relequen is worth using, the only difference is the 1k max stamina on the 5pc.

2. Currently stam dd's are running the lover to make up for penetration. The only worth while set for penetration atm is alkosh, which your tank will probably be running. I personally aim for between 6-7k penetration, since your tank will be debuffing 10k~ and if you have sunderflame/stamplar you'll be getting minor fracture.

3. Nirn disease axe front/infused weapon dmg dagger off is BiS afaik. Infused poison bow back. I've had to race change to a redguard, Khajiits technically pull more dps, but the sustain on redguards was too good to pass up. I guess you could run an absorb stamina enchant front hand if needed.

EDIT: To add yes you will see slight diminishing returns with khajiit crit, but since nb's have 10% chd & max stamina is lower due to infused weapon damage jewellery scaling really well, they can still pull more dps, if you're a god at sustain, or have god healers.

I can't speak from exactly stamblade perspective, so just in general sense... Stamina penetration in groups dropped some, but there's still Torug's-enhanced Crusher, Alkosh, Minor + Major Fracture. With Lover and, I think, 29 in piercing (and without any extra penetration, running Hunding's + VO + Velidreth), I happened to see my penetration spiking to 19k on a well-debuffed trial boss, so it's still possible to hit the cap, and Warrior probably won't be noticeably far behind on a well-optimized run.

I hear that sword as main hand is the worst of all DW weapons because the bonus it gives is additive, not multiplicative since patch before last, so wielding sword doesn't bump the actual resulting stat by the tooltip amount. Axe has been more or less common as main hand because of Twin Blade and Blunt bleed proc.

Can't say about the rest; I see people running regular Relequen, and loss of 1k stamina doesn't bother them, the five-piece damage effect is still a lot, plus it procs Selene monster helm set. It's probably worth getting.

So lets start concluding:

1) As a Khajit test BH/WM with non-perfect Releq compare to AY.

2) Alkosh 3010
Maj. Fracture 5280
Min. Fracture 1320
Infused Crusher - 2108 or infused crusher with Torug P. set - 2740
Lover 4196 with 7 gold divine pieces
Total: 15914 or 16546
Target 18200 = missing 2086 or 1454
That means 22 points (2067) or 15 points (+1465) in piercing should be optimal. OK

3) Axe MH Dagger OH is valiable option, but needs testing in solo/4man/12man compare to Dagger + Dagger setup. I assume as Khajit got extra crit, Axe + Dagger will be even more valiable compare to other races.

Most sets paired with relequen will be within 4-5k dps. Most of stamblade DPS is a proper, clean rotation.

Most sets being Hundings, AY, Leviathan, Veiled Heritance, Ravager, TFS (swap to warrior mundus).
