Launcher Issues

This is a brand-new issue for me and nothing I've seen before.

I started up the launcher, which began the update. 18% in, the launcher just closed. No error messaging, the download had been going pretty quickly (I'm on 5G).

Now, when I launch the launcher again, it will slowly load, still saying we're 18% updated, but with no progress bar or pause/play button. In fact, nothing is clickable; it's as if just the image loads. It will sit like that, static for a few seconds, then the progress bar will load. Then it closes. Again, no error messages.

Have done a system reboot, as my laptop was in sleep mode most of the weekend, but that has not improved things (or made it worse, thankfully).

Not certain what to do.

Has anyone else seen this issue/had a resolution?

    I have since redownloaded the installer and run it as though I needed to redownload the game and also plugged directly into my router vs. wifi.

    No improvement.

    I am seriously going to need to do a complete reinstall?

    Again, launcher launches but acts like an IMAGE. None of the menus are clickable (as in the repair function) and download never commences. It just closes.

    Currently experiencing the same thing at 29 percent the launcher states "download stalled" then I get a windows pop up that states the launcher has stopped working.
    1. Check online for a solution and close the program
    2.Close the program
    3. Debug the program.

    We don't even though that is listed as an option.

    Apologies @Thalmor-Nordmaster! I thought you were trying to help me figure it out.

    But yes, am finding this same frustration. Am going to just uninstall I guess. Though that's a really poor way to have to solve an issue.

    Perhaps the repair tool shouldn't be attached to the programs that might become compromised?

    Agreed. I am going wait for a few hours. Will look back into after I get back from fly fishing.

    fixed now I am in the game. What I did:

    at each stall, I would enter the task manager and force quit. Each time the download progress would increase.

    29%...31%... 35%.. 37%... then the last time poof download complete.

    Glad you made it.

    Unfortunately, that isn't working for me. In Task Manager, the Launcher is hitting a lot of memory, but using none of the Network despite being plugged in and having no restrictions.

    Frustrating!
