Why am I healing?

I have the same skills on two socrcs, on male Altmer another female Orc. The skills are Haunting curse, shattering prison, blood thirst, summon storm, unstable clanfear and Energy Overload. So how come when I use my skills I keep getting and indication I am healing with my Orc? I don't get them with the Altmer. What am I not seeing? Is it an Orc special ability?

    Bloodthirst. If you have that one on both your characters, it should heal them both. Orcs have more healing received but Bloodthirst should still heal them both.

    Even if I am not using Bloodthirst? I swear I am using other skills and healing. I will take Bloodthirst out and see if I am still healing. Thank you very much for helping. Next time I play I will take it out and see.

    One of the skill lines has a passive that does healing when you do damage, the dark magic one. Read it lol

    I have that one. Using magika to restore staminia and health right now. It was the other way around but trying something different so using swords and shields and double swords now so that is why I am going with staminia.

    What is the passive of blood magic? Even if it's not on the current bar it works? I didn't know there was a passive for it.

    In the dark magic line, whenever you deal direct damage, you heal. As far as heals go, sorcs only have 4 ways to reliably heal (surge, dark deal, clannfear, and matriarch).

    Thank you so much @SilverIce58 I have missed the passive. I thought it was only when I used that skill. I didn't know using other skills would heal as well. Thank you very much.

    If you're not using Bloodthirst then it's probably Shattering Prison with the Blood Magic passive.

    Nevermind, someone already said that. hehe
