With jewelry, and 2h counting as two pieces, you should be able to craft sets. As a general rule, you want to go for the five bonus. Not necessarily a mechanic build essential build practice. Even with all blue, you will be fine.

    I suggest
    Julianos, all infused
    Seducer
    Mechanical acuity
    Shacklebreaker
    Sloads

Front bar, inferno, back bar lightning.
Also, 2 pieces of willpower as a monster set won’t be important

Farm treasure chests in Rivenspire for Necromancer sets, if you want to have active, fighting pets.
Farm treasure chests in Deshaan for Mother's Sorrow to increase your magicka.

Focus more on getting five pieces of the same set, rather than getting all the same level. Worry about replacing your low-level gear after you build the initial set.
You can build two full sets and get the the full 5-item bonus from both, using a mix of armour, jewellery and weapons.
You can also buy Epic (purple) and higher level green/blue pieces from Guild traders.

Once you see how the sets and bonuses work, you can then focus on what sets will meet your needs better.

Then you can start looking at how the various traits impact. Eg. poster here has suggested "Julianos, all infused"
Infused trait will increase the stats of each piece that has the trait.

Thank you for the offer. I don't have many materials of high quality, but when I do, I will keep this in mind. Thank you very much for the offer.

Also thank you everyone else who commented as well. Learning new things.

Shoot me a mail in game to @brookus with whether you are stam or mag sorc and I will craft you a setup to tide you over until you can work on your CP160 gear. Don't worry about the mats; I have lots of CP140 mats I'll never use.

Also -- do you have level appropriate food?

Thank you for the offer. How do I shoot people a message? I don't know how the social game works lol.

As for level food. I guess my answer is no. I am just using what I find since I have my skills in other areas I never really crafted any food at all. What should I be doing there?

Davor.... open your mail interface (usually the ' symbol - single quote symbol) and from there select Send. Input @brookus into the recipient field. Write your message, then use the R key to actually send it. (Ugh. I hope I have that right, since I'm not in game tonight....)

If you have trouble with in-game mail, send me a pm on the forum and we'll work it out. I'll also include some level appropriate food types for you to try out.

I recommend leveling at least provisioning and alchemy for the passives that extend the benefits of potions and food. A good place to learn how to level efficiently is http://www.sunshine-daydream.us/ESO/
