Increasing amount of sets vs inentory space

With each new DLC we get more and more new sets, on top of that some old sets are getting tweaked. Because of that we need to hoard tons of equipment. There are many ideas how to deal with this growing issue. What is your opinion in this matter?

Don't keep junk. I have no issue with space and don't even have the crafting bag. At most toons need 2-5 sets, that is under a 100 space. You can have 200. Don't be a pack rat

New sets aren't the best imo so no need to collect them.

Plus I just have a couple sets per char:
    PVE
Stamina: Relequen, VO, Advancing, Veiled, WM, Hundings (57 Slots)
Magicka: Siroria, BSW, Mother's, MA, Julianos (47 Slots)
Tanks: Alkosh, Ebon, Dragon, PA (40 slots)
Healers: Olorime, Mending, IA, Jorvulds (40 slots)

    PVP
Stam: Shackle, Bone, Spriggans, Impen (37 slots)
Mag: Shackle, Lich, Caluurion (27 slots)

    Monster sets
Stam: Velidreth, Selenes, Troll (6 slots)
Mag: Valkyn, Zaan, Ilambris (6 slots)
Tank: Warden, Choke/Shadow, Bloodspawn (6 slots)
Healer: Earthgore, Rkugamz, Bogdan (6 slots)
    Misc: Domihaus, Kena (4 slots)

    Total: 276

All these fit nicely into separate home storage chests with food & pots, then on logging into a char (I log them out at my house) I just grab what's needed.

Unless you're trying to hold one of every single set I don't think it's an issue.

With retraiting now it's not hard at all to gear up into a new set assuming it's not something from a trial or arena, those are the only sets I would say are worth holding onto for the long term.

When it goes to current patch it's easy, but will you guarantee me that after new update sets I had destroyed won't be buffed? I'm PvPer mainly and I like to test new builds but I don't want to spend 80% of my already limited time to grind dungs. In PvE options are easy, but PvP is far more complexed when it goes to builds that's why I have to hoard more stuff.

I don't see how anyone could object to more storage for houses. If you don't like it you don't have to buy it. You can also store other things in them like recipes, furniture, motifs, potions, etc. It would require trivial amounts of coding and make more money for Zos to support the game we all love. Win-win.

Housing storage is not bad. I have all 8 chests and maximum of 360 slots in my manor. But with increased amount of sets it would be really nice that we get more chest slots in houses. Each update could be 30 slots, and each chapter 60 slots.

Simply this. Give us more cool looking chests, wardrobes, or even wall mounts for weapons and dummies for armors so we can show stuff we've collected :)

Anything who is BoE or consumed its best to sell and buy back later. Prices outside of seasonal events tend to drop.
Items you want to keep is dungeon and trial sets and here its most important to keep weapons and jewelry.

It would be nice if wardrobe management were implemented along the lines of alternate weapon sets. That way set pieces wouldn't take storage space. There could be a drop-down menu in character screen where one could select one of the - preferably several, not just two - self-defined "profiles". I think Rift has this system, I haven't played it for a while so don't remember exactly how it works.

ESO+ should provide an additional 50 bank / inventory slots.

It's true that one can prioritise on gear and not keep unnecessary junk but.

However in ESO what's junk today can become BiS in the next patch and vice versa.

Example: BSW gear, it routinely goes from BiS to "only BiS for DK" to "junk" to "back to BiS for many". It's just sensible to keep it. Same for other sets.

I don’t think we need extra storage but I think what would be a top notch QOL addition is being able to place your alt characters around your player home so you can trade gear directly with them. Would save a heap of time and hassle.

I'm keeping all the weapons etc. of every dungeon set that I get.. that could, possibly, might, maybe be useful in the future. That way I save myself from a lot of farming!
+ it's not just gear that's taking up a lot of space. Furniture takes up a ton of space, in PvP: Sieges are the worst culprit. Can't they at least stack up to 10?????
+ Then there's motifs, food, potions, ambrosias, recipes...
+ Then it's key fragments and all other Misc/Other - items. Soul Gems.

I keep 1 heavy, 1 medium and 1 light of each Monster Set. Or I at least try to. Then you need 1 in divines for PvE, one in impen for PvP, maybe even one in Sturdy or Well-Fitted. That's 3 for traits, 3 types, then you have shoulder + head + all the current gear sets.

Eventually it stacks up. And it hurts. I run out of space, even with 4 maxed out banking characters.

Here's an idea for storage items:

    ATTUNABLE SET MANNEQUINS

Step 1. Purchase mannequin (from Crown Store or for vouchers)

Step 2. Combine a set piece of armour with a CS- or voucher-bought magical doohickey, attuning the mannequin in your inventory to that set and thereby turning it into a furnishing item that can be used to store up to 30 weapon or armour items belonging to that set only, and display just the armour.

    Step 3. ????

    Step 4. Profit!

Sets could be displayed in whatever the default style(s) is/are in the zone where they can be obtained and/or crafted. Then all ZOS would need to do is design ONE mannequin storage item and then dress multiple copies of it using textures that already exist in the game. EVERYONE WOULD BE HAPPY. Especially me.
AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.

Part of what makes ESO great - and makes it stand out from most other games out there - is the huge variety of viable builds. The ever increasing pressure to only keep supposedly "best in slot" gear threatens to undo this, however. "Can I keep that set? It sounds interesting, but I'm running out of room... oh well, decon it." That's bad. That's very bad.

We need more, and more intelligent, storage. We need more sensible loot drops. We need themed storage that takes advantage of housing, while still being more than just "dump stuff in this box and hope you don't forget". Dressable and posable dummies, armories, display walls, clinking alchemy cabinets, larders, rooms of floating and glowing runes, our own personal warehouses full of ingots, planks, bolts of fabric, spare furniture...

We need more storage, and it needs to be more engaging, for the health of the game.

I'd also like if ESO+ doubled inentory as well as bank space. I don't keep lots of sets for my dps, but I keep multiple sets (Kagrenac's, Sanctuary, Worm, Mending, Infal, Jorvuld's Twilight, SPC, and Olorime's) for my healer for all types of situations.

I personally don't have any storage issues, and that's with 26 active characters across two accounts and no guild storage. I still have plenty of spare capacity and potential additional capacity.

I can understand that some do have storage issues, however, and not just those who hoard unnecessarily or make the conscious choice not to subscribe and then complain about the need to provide the benefits that you get from subscribing! I'd have no problem with increasing the housing storage or any other form of enhanced storage as long as it doesn't detract from the benefits of subscribing.

ZOS has done a lot to alleviate gear grind, but there are a LOT of sets that are BoP and RNG locked still. I like trying out off-meta builds and that means storage issues. Some are garbage now, but I really don't want to grind VMA *again* if Permafrost becomes decent.

I have one dungeon I have run ~500 times and still not gotten the drop I have wanted since One Tam. A token system to trade in unwanted drops for better items, or a way to purchase dungeon drops based on dungeon achievements would be fantastic. Then all those BoP sets can join the queue at the decon bench.
