22% Spell Crit in Imperial City?????

Last night I ventured into Cyrodiil and Imperial City for the first time in a long time. Last time I was there i was around 300cp, now I'm 780, with Vet trials and around 30 vMA runs under my belt. Imperial City should be cake...right??
Man it was so hard for things to die. I went into the arena and it was harder than the last time i was there. I felt like i was hitting enemies with a plastic spoon. My numbers and sustain were terrible.
Looking at my stats, my spell crit had dropped from 50% to 22%, my max magicka had dropped by about 6k although my health had increased by about 2k, and i had hardly any magicka recovery. No gear had changed though, so that wasn't the issue. I quickly just legged it into White Gold Tower and everything was back to normal... then left WGT and was ported back to Deshaan, so did not return to IC.
I have no idea why my stats were so badly affected. The only thing i can think of is the effects of a boon from having all areas of IC under my faction's control were affecting my usual stats, but obviously not in a good way. Other than that, a glitch??

So does Battle Spirit apply in all pvp areas?? And all times, so every time a player enters cyrodiil they get battle spirit and the above damage/heals reduction??And i assume it increases health by 5k from your base health, regardless of food/drink buffs?

Battle Spirit applies in all PVP areas, so Cyrodiil, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds. You should be able to see it on your character sheet, I believe.
I don't know for certain about the health increase, but I think its just a flat 5K addition to whatever you already have.1 -

- EU players are humans too! We want our maintenances in the least pop time (at deep night) and not lasted for several hours!
- Animation canceR - is true PvP cancer! When you can't see which actions your opponent do - you can't react properly on them!

Increase Health by 5000.
Reduce damage taken by 50%.
Reduce healing received and damage shield strength by 50%.
Increase range of abilities with greater than 28m range by 8m in Cyrodiil.1 -

I was about to say that a reduction in damage done would be a huge disincentive for people to play pvp. Makes perfect sense now0
