I used to play World of Warcraft. I used to love it. Then everything changed when the Horde attacked.

But I'll always remember how in Random Dungeons, not a single word would be said. Not a peep. We would move silently through Shadowfang Keep, efficient and merciless, deadly and dedicated, focused and fiery (or icy, or arcane)....

And then it would end. Lord Godfrey would fall and the Cursed Bullet DoT would fade and we'd collect our Quest Reward. That was IT. No thanks, no pats on the back, no nothing. It was over as quickly as it began. They faded from the instance, and suddenly I was back in Westfall.

But in ESO? Without fail everytime:
"tyvm"
"ty for group!"
"ty"

People care. They appreciate the time they spent with the other heroes. It mattered to them. Recently, after dying several times in Darkshade Caverns II (My first time tanking it!) when we finally learned from our trial and error we celebrated, CELEBRATED after our victory. Many thanks were given, many /cheers were typed and observed with a tearful smile. The in-game community for this game is unlike anything I've ever known in Azeroth or Outland, and it's why I believe in this game, and people, so much.

Thanks for the group. - Shraar

Glad you are enjoying the dungeon community. Sometimes I get too annoyed with the frustrating runs to remember the genuine pleasures of fighting through difficulty with group members trying our best and coming out on top in the end.

I had a similar experience in Darkshade 2 my first time healing it, so congrats on a successful complete!

If anything a "GG" is put into text conversation most every time. I too believe we have a great community of people on ESO! For every annoying player there usually is at least 3x more great ones right after.

Did a few Undaunted pledges and World Bosses yesterday with the same kind of behavior in the end of all of them. It is kind a shock of culture when you come from WoW. In WoW if you wipe in a boss people start to rage quit because reasons.

10/10 agreed. A heroic action is surely being done in Tamriel while i'm typing this.

An healer dungeon, and one I eject from hard with junk groups on normal. Idiot with 11K health: food, EAT FOOD NOW. leave group. Group would not be able to stack on me during poison phase nor have self heal or shields so fail.
Pug success rate is higher on vet as most see it as more of an monster than it is because of fake healers.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I normally give a "thanks everyone" because, even if it's one that could technically be done solo, a group makes it faster. Every once in a while, though, I find one of those Dungeon Heroes who thinks he carried the whole group. That one guy, who usually stood in the back light attacking with a bow, or tanked with no taunts, or whose healing contribution was warm thoughts, who says "np" or "ur welcome." Sometimes it pays to have /facepalm on quickslot too :p

I like this. Genuine love for the game and the teamwork it requires. I too have seen other more toxic gaming communities, but ESO is a pleasure to play because of the people and their will to fight together to achieve a common goal.
