back in the day venders would laugh at you if you tried to sell em'
but seriously that would cause ripple effect problems and devalue gold tier items way more than you may expect.
take ta's again at 10-1 if you have say 10000 ta's which is more realistic than you may think.
now you have 1000 jejotas , which becomes 100 denatas then 10 rekutas and ultimately 1 kuta
That doesn't sound too bad right? well if you have 10000 ta's you probably have 5000 jejotas 3000 denatas and 1000 rekutas already too.
and then suddenly everyone is using up the lower tiers and they become harder to find than the gold stuff. If you remember when housing first came out green resin price skyrocketed as everyone needed it, it was worth more than the blue or purple stuff for a while.
So any tinkering with these tiers can create new issues...these items do have value in crafting already.

Hmmm... would it improve the game by making all mats matter, or would it devalue the game by making the higher mats people spent so much effort gathering suddenly worthless?hedna123b14_ESO wrote: »What if we took all mats and made them upgradeable? Here is what I mean:
You know the thousands of Ta runes that you have? What if you could upgrade them to Jejotas at a rate of 10 to 1? What about Jejotas to Denatas? What about Green tempers to Blue tempers?
Wouldnt this improve the health of the game by making all mats matter?

I fear the latter...
As for what to do with the former... I am still hoping we might someday get "guild projects" which will require massive amounts of low-tier materials! That would be the place for those thousand of "Ta" runes!
