Why does poison injection/destructive touch dots not proc enchants?

See title. Considering that wall of elements and endless hail still proc enchants on backbar it would make sense for poison injection/destructive touch dots to proc the backbar enchants too...

    If I had to guess (speculation based on work I've done coding and modding other games), abilities are probably coded behind-the-scenes as a sequence of effects. The first effect of Poison Injection and Destructive Touch is a bit of burst damage, whereas the first effect of Wall and Volley is a DOT. If Enchants are coded to proc alongside the first effect, then it'll only proc once with abilities that have a burst component, while proccing repeatedly for abilities where the DOT is the primary effect.

    There are a few other abilities with analogous odd behavior. For instance, Asylum Resto does not reduce the cost of Templar Ritual even though it is a heal. My suspicion, based on the same reasoning, is that this is caused by Purge being the first effect in the sequence for Ritual.

    Because blockade is an AOE so its a fresh tick coming in I would say. DOT damage is different
