Also better gear... would be nice to get sharpened infused study and divines gear from them and definitely not non staff weapons of light armor sets and staves of medium sets.

Personally no, as I would like to see the influx of gold reduced but sadly I think we're past the point where the damage has been done in regards to inflation.

Definitely yes. Quests in most of the scenarios take much longer than doing a dolmen or world boss, it should be more rewarding as it is not repeatable, it should feel awesome to finish another quest. I am low on gold? No problem, I'll go mercenary route, do some quests to earn some gold and maybe even a piece of awesome gear.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

I honestly have to say quests don't really give that much of an influx of money as it stands right now, you could easily make thousands of times more money farming gold directly from a massive amount of ads than doing quests.

They give enough to introduce players to the currency and cover mild gear repair and upgrade needs. More gold can easily be gotten by interacting with the player economy, which fits the genre well.

Pick those flowers between destinations, they're worth just as much as that automaton ordering you around is going to pay

or instead of interacting with player economy you could just kill a lot of ads as well ;)

Quests should not give more gold. The primary reason being daily quests.

Take writs for example. They give 664 gold per writ. A character can do 7 per day, 7 days a week. That is 32,536g per week per character that writs are done on. 488,040g per week if someone does writs on 15 characters. That isn't even considering the gold materials that come from said writs which are usually worth more than double the gold from the quest.

I could understand if non-repeatable quests were to give more gold to make story enthusiasts feel more rewarded, but daily quests would need to be excluded as they provide more than enough compensation already.

This. I feel that 'normal' quests should give more gold (and XP) especially on lower levels, but repeatable quests really give enough money.

Yeah, I mean maybe quests could be bumped into thousands rather than hundreds, but at this point I think gold as a currency is pretty messed up.
ZOS has at least added a number of large and good sinks over the years, just sadly not enough to stem the crazy flow of incoming gold.

I say yes but only to high levels, or even "max" levels. CP 300 perhaps? Keep it low on the "progress" levels.

reducing influx is just going to hurt the legitimate players, it's not going to help at all curb the broken market and people with absurd gold values (mostly due to chinese flooding of the market, thanks bots).
