Totally serious. I want to be able to play the game I pay for during business hours. Why is that so controversial?

Because the world isn't one time zone - someone will always be awake (and wanting to play) when there's an update to do.

Well, I'm playing on the North America server. I'm in North America. They can narrow that down, right?

Wait, what? They push the updates at, like, 4am Eastern. You should be asleep unless you work graveyard. I mean, personally, I just leave the launcher up overnight, so that means I either wake up to a game ready to roll or Patch Manifest Error..

Server was down at 10am Central, hence the reason for my post. Seriously?

So I guess according to OP MMO up time should be more like regular business hours.
You know 9:00 AM to 5 PM Monday thru Friday and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays.
That way they could do patches when he is sleeping. lmao
    It is a 24/7 operation - duh!

Are you awake then? No? So I can't play because it is your sleep time?
    LMAO!
Also just because it is called NA Server, you realize that ppl from Australia and many other countries also play on it, right?
10 million people on ESO and they should just play when you can?

    Kids these day's.... :)

Yep, people in Australia might choose to be on the North America server. It's a simple cost analysis for the company selling the product. Do they want the 579 million people in North America to have access to their game, or the 24 million people in Australia?

I'm in North America playing on the NORTH AMERICA server and they are charging me a monthly fee to be able to play their game, hence I'd like to be able to play their game.

    Why does this confuse you?

You are mistaken actually. You see you bought the game. That actually just authorizes you to access the content, with reasonable downtime expected for maintenance. That was a one time fee.

You CAN not include ESO+ in your argument as that service and its benefits are not only voluntary , its services and related content do not say that you are guaranteed access. You are not paying for server time directly with plus. You are paying for the crowns and in game benefits. You elect to do this as you dont need plus to login if the maintenance schedule is upsetting you enough dont sub.

do you not know how mmo work?

for starters america has at least 3- 4 times zones.

west coast, central, mountain, and east coast. some of those times zones have daylight saving time. at some point no matter the time zone someone is going to be inconvenienced, also ToS states they can't guarantee the game will be active 24/7. And you need to agree to it to play.

I've been playing MMO since 2004 and it was only the past 4 years have been been bringing up this complaint. Sorry, but that isn;t how MMO work. they need to go down for maint when they are active. anything can happen when they update servers (like a virus happening, or the company is ddos) they need to be there to be on the ball.

Sorry but they are not going to refund your money when they go down, that isn't how things work. Don't play MMO if you don't agree with this stuff.

Yeah, 10am Central is 8am Pacific and 11am Eastern. Most people here in North America are awake then, right? Maybe they can bring their people in a bit earlier and do the maintenance?

Maintenance usually starts at 4am EST which is 3am Central and 1am Pacific. How is that regular business hours? I think you need therapy for that narcissistic personality disorder. With all the people playing the game from different countries and time zones, ZOS should schedule maintenance times around YOUR schedule!

Wow. Please don't be rude and insult a stranger on the Internet. That's uncalled for. You should be ashamed. I have no idea why you are so offended that someone has requested a game do their maintenance outside of business hours. Did you invent this game? Your son made it?

Again, I'm in NORTH AMERICA and I'm on the NORTH AMERICA server. There is no WORLD server. You would have a point if I was complaining that the EUROPE server was doing maintenance when I was awake in the Central Time Zone.

So I think you need to redefine your argument in north America business hours are typically from 8 am to 7pm daily being generoushere.. ZOS starts maintenance at 4am to 1 am. So technically they are doing maintenance not only outside of normal business hours but also while most people are sleeping.

Yeah, that's an accurate point if my down time is like other games where it's just downloading an update and then installing the update. We're talking about the servers being down for hours.

Yes, but you'll need to plan your sleep around the downtimes

No, they need to plan their maintenance around their customers' play time. Otherwise, their customers will pay someone else and leave.

Do you like to work at night? Neither do the people working on this game. Stop feeling so entitled.

You are confused. This is a marketplace and I'm a customer and they are selling me a product. If the product they are selling isn't available when I want to play, I will use a different product. Yes, I do feel entitled to a service I'm paying for whenever I want to use it. If they want to go to an hourly rate service, they should do that. But they are charging me a monthly fee and so I expect to play whenever I want in that month.

Then stop playing the the game. It is a marketplace. If you are not satisfied, go use a different product.

I have no problem without dissatisfied players whining. That is their right. I also have no problem with other players mocking them for sounding ridiculous. But, in the end, if you don't something they have been doing regularly since launch, find another game. You haven't learned yet?

Also, they don't charge you a monthly fee. You subscribe monthly. If you terminate that, they will not bill you.
