Maintenance for the week of December 22:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – December 22, 4:00AM EST (9:00 UTC) - 8:00AM EST (13:00 UTC)

Do you recommend this game to your friends even though ZOS ignores gamebreaking issues?

For all it's faults, it is still one of if not the best MMORPG currently on the market. Pros vastly outweigh the cons.

Yes, i would even if its just because it has kept me playimg it for 3 years already, so it ain’t too bad.
I love eso even with all its annoyances.

But i wouldnt mind if they fixed some bugs for a change without adding two back for it next update.

It's funny when you ask people what the 'game breaking bugs' are that they always complain about, they cannot seem to name any. Makes me think it's just another troll thread, especially when people start a thread and then never reply back to any posts.

i cant do bgs or undaunted pledges about few weeks because group finder is totaly broken on pc eu. also at the same time cyro has a terrible lag that makes it unplayable.

Yes, of course. ESO is simply amazing.
There are some minor issues. There are no gamebreaking issues.

I tell the truth about the game; I loved it but there's too many issues now and 0 care from ZO$. If you play as a solo player doing the main quest, it's a good game. Branch out from that and welcome to glitch world. It's so sad to watch what is happening to the game and ZO$ is not going to change.

At my age I no longer have any gaming friends in real life, they've all moved on in one way or another. My other real life friends just have that glazed look that comes over someone's face when they ask you what it's all about and you start to explain...

However, I can think of several of my late friends who would have loved ESO, and I wouldn't have hesitated to recommend it to them. Like me, they would have had no interest in PvP or addons and would have just played the PvE the way it is very probably also like me without any performance issues. There was a crowd of us in the 80's and 90's for whom ESO would have been a perfect fit.

I don't know of any issues that've been gamebreaking...

...but that's because no one ever tells me about them before they get nerfed >_>

I'm pretty clear, when discussing the game, to point out the flaws.

I enjoy the game enough, despite the flaws, to still be here 4 years later, as are many others. That doesn't mean the game is above criticism, but it certainly merits a recommendation.

Oh... I see... so 'game breaking' is solely a 'personal' perspective. Thus, players wouldn't recommend ESO to their friends UNLESS their friends enjoyed the EXACT SAME content they did. Go figure... selfishness. Because for the majority of players- those who don't do PvP, BG's... there are pretty much no game breaking bugs. Sure there are glitches and bugs, but none of them that actually prevents you from playing the game... sorry but 'frustration' doesn't make the game actually 'broken'. There are many quests, particularly with quests that gain you an NPC 'follower'... many times you reach a point where either the follower locks up or some quest progression aspect is broken... the fix is usually to log out and log back in. This isn't 'game breaking' by any means- frustrating sure- but not game breaking. Most MMOs the size and detailed as ESO experience similar issues that aren't easily fixed, you learn to live with them because 95% of the game works perfectly fine.

    What gamebreaking issues?

I've only ever had one issue that could be considered close to game breaking. One of my characters was hit by a javelin attack from an enemy and got propelled through the scenery inside a cage. I couldn't get out, they couldn't hit me, and I couldn't use "get me unstuck" because I was in combat. All I could do was hope and pray someone would come along and kill the mob that was attacking me to reset combat. I no longer remember if that's what happened or if the enemy just reset itself, but eventually I was able to get out of it and didn't have to contact customer support.

What, do kids these days call an issue "gamebreaking" in cases that simply inconvenience them (e.g., lag, crashing)? Back in my day, gamebreaking really meant gamebreaking - as in you can't play the game at all because your save file is irrevocably corrupted, your character inaccessible, etc.

THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE! This just doesn't make sense.

"Hey guys this game totally sucks. I wish I had friends playing it. Oh you guys want to play? Oh wait no you shouldn't cause it like totally sucks and they just ignore ever bug that I think is an issue (which they don't). So you know you could play and make the game more enjoyable for me to be with friends, but instead I'm just going to make a pointless poll on the forums"

Completely expecting a this post was a no no email from ZoS but I'm so tired of seeing this crap. If you don't like it, or actually think they ignore game breaking bugs then please flipping leave. If you think you can do better when it comes to updating, fixing, and adding to a massive game with billions of lines of code that have to "always" be working with millions of different computer configurations, and multiple platforms then please go do it. I'll make sure to be the one front and center on your games forums whining and complaining when you are fixing the bugs the second they are found.

/rant (till the next worthless poll like this)

I sometimes wonder if a "gamebreaking" bug or lag is actually what happens when a kid brother is watching Netflix over the same wifi in the next room.

Haha... there's some truth to that. The last time I had a really bad lag spell was because of problems on my end, not the game's. My router's wireless was dying... after chugging along for a good 10+ years.
